So i heard about this very famous restaurant that had opened its first ever outlet in dubai and me being from bangalore wanted to try out their food as i am a very big fan of their restaurant back in bangalore so i took my family along for dinner and ordered food and were waiting for our food 30 mins goes by and we still hadn’t received our starters after 55 mins and lots of calls to the waiter to check up on our food since it was almost an hour ! They bought the roti and gravy along with the biryani i asked them what is this and where are the starters he told 5 mins again but i told the waiter to take the biryani inside as it will get cold and get it when we are done with our rotis and he took it back ! (Explained the reason why i sent it back) Then after 5 mins still no signs of the starter so waited for another 5 mins and then they got the starter and one of the starter had come but no signs of the other starter !! But we were all patient and didn’t say anything about the other starter. As we were almost done with our rotis i asked him to get the biryani and the waiter goes in the kitchen confused as ever and comes back after 5 mins and tell me the biryani is sold out I was furious at this point cause I’ve waited almost an hour and didn’t receive 1 starter and now the biryani which had come to my table also was given to someone else !! The manager came and asked me to order something else and that he would get it after 7 mins but I refused his request and asked him to get the bill. To get the bill they took 15mins !!!
So be prepared if you are going to visit this restaurant as it will definitely take a lot of time and you might get half your orders ! I agree they are new but this type of unprofessionalism is unacceptable.
Note : i ordered the garlic naan tandoori roti chicken tikka masala paneer tikka and the meghana boneless chicken biryani (which wasn’t served to us)
The taste of the food was very good but the service was horrendous and management was awful Paneer tikka had a lot of food colouring which is something they should keep in mind
I wish the owners look into all these things and hire the right people who are experienced in the uae restaurant business.

Read moreIt’s awful experience with Megana foods (MF) service, as I had been there couple of weeks ago and did take away order of paneer Biryani (since I’m vegetarian), I got home and checked, found it’s chicken instead of paneer stuff, I immediately called up the restaurant and informed them about it surprisingly they didn’t sound helpful nor replace immediately, since I stay 15kms away. The Staff from MF Named Teja told if I can come back or send some one to pick up the paneer stuff, else the other option is to place a minimal order like roti (which is 3 aed) from the careem or talabat or Noon, so that they will send alongside paneer biryani stuff along with roti to which they advised me to order again. I told them as I can see the small order fee as 3 aed and delivery charges are 9.5 aed additional, it’s not advisable to order as it’s worthless paying again 15.5 aed for me, However after multiple calls to them from my side, since they insisted me to order in order to get paneer, I finally placed order in Noon (costed me 15.5 aed) and agreed by staff Teja they will refund me the delivery charges and order fee after deducting roti price (3aed) which is about 12.5 aed . I received roti and paneer stuff after an hour and was refunded with 5 aed instead of 12.5 aed. When i checked with them staff said he wasn’t around whilst sending my order as mistake happened one of the staff, My intention is not to emphasize about the money, to elucidate the cheap behavior of staff by not being helpful inspite of their mistake. I just don’t blame the staff teja its also couple of people who I over heard tell her refund is not possible, this is so recklessness of them as they never bothered to called me single time throughout the conversation despite of mistake has been from their side, afterwards received call from at last staff Teja apologized and said would like to transfer money (15aed) to my account to which I denied and said i don’t need now, as it would not make any difference to me, upon his request I gave him my account details, however as I expected I didn’t receive any money from them. Read moreAlways a lot runs on the establishments which need to cater to the expectations of their legacy. This is a classic example of how hyped the Meghana biryani of B'lore is. If you carry these expectations and go maybe you'll not understand what all the hype is about. But if you did savour their original biryani in B'lore in the past, then you'll definitely not be disappointed. They tried to stay true to their original. This restaurant is huge by Dubai standards. There is plenty of seating area. The ambience is very good. The staff have been very courteous. They truly tried to bring the authentic B'lore experience here in Dubai. Kudos to the team! And the prices are reasonable comparatively and they don't rip you off for the sides and desserts like other restaurants here. There are plenty of RTA parking lots available nearby and parking should not be a problem. Surprised to see it not as busy, but I hope it'll catch up soon. Their paneer biryani was tasty and it's a special recipe unique to them. All in all a very nice place to enjoy with your friends and family. Kids can go too! That huge space can easily accommodate whatever you throw at it! Edit after an year: The food quality has been maintained, but the staff have become very less attentive and disinterested. Had to wait a lot for even ordering the second course and forget about the turnaround time taken for them to serve the condiments even after reminding them a couple of times which is not acceptable as they should've served them along with the ordered food in the first place. This experience, I'm sure is very different for others as selective patrons got very good attention even during our time as I've observed. If this persists, It becomes very hard to recommend going back again. I just hope that everyone gets the same kind of treatment as they are charging the same prices...
