5 stars are too limited to rate on this restaurant but since it’s the highest rate I’ll use them. I went to orfali bros with my mom and sister and we were stunned and even teared up. After the meal we just want to hug every staff in the restaurant, we’ve come to Dubai for multiple times but only this time we were beyond amazed. We went into the restaurant without having an idea its 1 Michelin star and top 50 in the world, we simply just wanted to experience the story behind every dish, we want to experience the best that chefs are presenting.

We weren’t sure how to order, what’s too much and what are the must tries, we were still limited by our preferences. The restaurant manager gave us suggestions and ordered for us. Here comes the journey, we were amazed and still are today.

For drink, we got fermented apple and grapes sparkling juice, so refreshing and wine like. We love how everything on the drink menu is alcohol free❤️❤️❤️ the roasted Japanese rice kombucha is something surprising too, it goes so well with seafood, the scallops especially.

Since we don’t eat beef, we got everything for one but the umami eclair and guess what. To experience the full flavor, we inhaled deeply before taking any bite, hold the breath for the first 7 chews then exhaled to get all the flavor🤤🤤🤤 ** ooh la la needed to go in one bite, the richness of the foie gras and the crunchiness at the bottom, delicious! ** ob croquette with 18 months Comte cheese, as soon as I exhaled, I felt the flavor of the cheese and truffle was like a rocket launching straight to your brain. I melted. ** the corn bombtortilla, creamy corn custard, corn itself and cheese🤤 hello!! Where have you been in my life, never knew corn custard would work like a magic like this, complement to the chef, I teared up. The caviar bun🤤 full of caviar on the first bite, the second and third bite of the beignet 👌 like 0.01mm of fired crunchiness surface and garlicky interior the oyster~ I can’t think of any words to compliment it. I was stunned.

  • Orfali bayildi was like a piece of art* sea scallops was my fav, I teared up again. The saucebrown butter with miso? Come on!! It was so good that I almost fainted, perfectly sealed norwegian scallop, pure umami and tasted like food served to god. Caviar doesn’t need much explanation🤤🤤🤤who invented this**finally the chicken wings, it looks and smells ordinary but the taste holy moly I was fooled. Sticky rice stuffed chicken wings? What? Who invented this??? I took 10 bites to finish that because it felt sad to finish it. That thin thin 0.01mm crunch surface rice infused with chicken flavor🤤🤤🤤 I cried. We saved the pizza for the next time, we saved a reason to come back next time. Did I mention every single staff was friendly, their eyes glowed when they were explaining the food~ you can see it in their eyes the truly believe in the food, just like they believe in god. Don’t go there for the fame, put that away and just simply enjoy the food and the story behind it, and try not to faint because...

Orfali Bros Bistro is a remarkable culinary destination that seamlessly blends traditional Middle Eastern flavors with modern global influences. The creativity in both presentation and taste makes every dish an experience, not just a meal. The bistro, helmed by the Orfali brothers, delivers an impressive mix of comfort food, fine dining elements, and unexpected yet harmonious flavor combinations.

Savory Dishes

Come with Me to Aleppo

This dish is a perfect balance of richness and acidity, featuring wagyu beef kebabs complemented by sour cherries, pine nuts, and a dusting of cinnamon. The depth of flavors, with the sweetness of cherries cutting through the umami-packed beef, makes it one of the most memorable items on the menu.

Shish Barak à la Gyoza

A brilliant fusion of traditional Levantine dumplings and Japanese gyoza, these wagyu beef dumplings are served over garlic yogurt and topped with sujuk oil, pine nuts, and mint. The crispy yet tender dumpling shell, combined with the creamy and tangy yogurt, creates a luxurious bite.

Orfali Bayildi

A reinvention of the classic Imam Bayildi, this dish features eggplant topped with makdous muhammara, tarator, walnuts, verjuice, and vibrant nasturtium leaves. The smoky eggplant pairs wonderfully with the nutty and slightly tangy sauce, making this a must-try for lovers of bold flavors.

OB Cheese Burger

A simple yet impeccably executed burger featuring a juicy wagyu beef patty, OB sauce, cheddar cheese, and onion, all nestled in a fluffy Hokkaido bun. The balance between the rich patty and the perfectly toasted bun makes this a standout comfort dish.

Oyster with Fermented Hot Sauce

A single, exquisitely plated oyster, topped with a homemade fermented hot sauce that enhances its natural brininess. The sauce provides a punchy, umami-packed contrast, making it a great start to the meal.

Corn Bomb

A dish that highlights corn in all its glory, topped with 36-month-aged Parmigiano Reggiano. The texture, richness, and slight sweetness of the corn, paired with the deep umami from the cheese, make it an unexpectedly delightful bite.

OB Croquettes

A luxurious take on croquettes, made with celeriac, 18-month-aged Comté cheese, and a decadent truffle aioli. These crispy bites deliver a perfect balance of earthiness from the truffle and creamy richness from the cheese.

Desserts & Pastries

The pastry section at Orfali Bros is just as impressive as the savory menu. The Basque cheesecake has a beautifully caramelized top with a creamy, melt-in-your-mouth texture. The fresh berry cheesecake is light yet indulgent, while the chocolate-based creations bring an intense cocoa experience. Every dessert, whether a tart, a cake, or a chocolate-covered pastry, is visually stunning and full of flavor.

Final Thoughts

Orfali Bros Bistro is not just a restaurant—it’s a celebration of bold flavors, artistic presentation, and culinary creativity. The way they fuse Middle Eastern traditions with global influences results in a dining experience that is both nostalgic and innovative. Whether you’re looking for comforting flavors or something more adventurous, Orfali Bros offers a menu that is worth every bite. A must-visit for food...

My experience has been below expectations from a Michelin Star restaurant that is being hailed as one of the best in Dubai and involving a long reservation queue. To start with the positives, the food was good but that’s about it. However, Dubai has lots of good quality food across many other restaurants which do not carry a Michelin Star. Unfortunately, the Michelin Star is also reflected in the prices of the various food items, which is unjustifiable in my opinion due to food being equal to other good spots in Dubai. As for the service, it was truly below expectation, not just of a Michelin start but that of any decent restaurant. From the moment we sat (a group of four), the waiter asked us three times what kind of water we would like to drink (still or sparkling), and it took a good 15 min to bring it. Then the waiter came to take our order while walking us through the menu. Here is how things started to go down at a drastic speed: one of the table guests had a Dairy intolerance. The waiter was totally unprepared to deal with the situation, and basically told such a guest that he has very little choices to pick from in the menu (two or three items max). There were no alternatives offered or any effort made to accommodate such intolerance. Again, very poor experience from a Michelin rated restaurant who needs to be ready to accommodate such situations. Besides, the menu didn’t have any dietary labels which is to be expected from an award winning restaurant. While ordering, the waiter stopped us from ordering further as we didn’t have enough time to consume our order as there is a time limit set for us to leave the table! We were told, that’s enough as you need to leave by 9.00 pm and you don’t have time to order beyond what we had already picked from the menu. Food serving was rushed in an attempt to get us to leave by 9.00 pm. Utensils were set on the table with no attention to detail. The restaurant set up is to place the forks and knives in a little stand, a couple of forks were placed so quickly and without care so they ended up being misplaced and not resting on the provided stands. Again, not a standard of a Michelin Star where attention to detail is paramount. With every dish served, the waiter interrupted our table conversation in order to explain the story behind the dish. There was no awareness on when not to interrupt the guests. It felt like the waiter was told to explain every dish no matter what. No sensible approach was followed in prioritizing the guest. It was all about the restaurant and making the guest feel as if they need to be grateful in been given a chance to dine there. After finishing the desert, the waiter came and presented the bill directly and asked us to pay in order to clear the table for the next group. The approach was so direct to the point of being rude.

I have dined at many award winning restaurants, and never felt as if I’m being rushed to leave. To the contrary, award winning restaurants make the guest feel at ease and as as if the whole place is prioritizing their individual experience. At Orfali Bros, it felt like it was about the pride of the restaurant more than the experience...

Only Go If: Where to begin? This is a charming family-run restaurant. In this review, I’ll share our experience and offer my thoughts on whether it’s worth a visit. My husband and I love dining at Michelin-starred restaurants in every country we explore, and this one certainly met our expectations. The Experience and Ambiance: The staff at the restaurant are incredibly friendly and attentive. Though the space is small with limited tables, this allows for more personal interactions with the chefs. We had the pleasure of meeting one of the brothers, the restaurant owner, who guided us through the experience, explaining the flavors and their origins, which enhanced our dining experience immensely. Food: Our waitress inquired about any allergies or preferences and asked if we would allow him to curate a surprise tasting for us. Each bite showcased a delightful combination of texture and presentation. As mentioned earlier, some dishes were personally explained by one of the chefs at our table. The flavors are beyond words—every dish reflects freshness and the love and care that the chefs pour into their creations. Dish Sizes: It’s essential to note that the portion sizes are not what you would typically find at a regular restaurant (larger portions). Their goal is not to overwhelm you with a single large plate but rather to guide you through a culinary journey. The emphasis is on quality over quantity. They offer Mezze-style smaller portions, and you can indulge in as many as you wish; we followed our waitress's recommendations and enjoyed seven dishes, plus dessert. Drinks: We savored non-alcoholic sparkling drinks, delicious passion fruit cascara, and plenty of water. Desserts: The desserts were heavenly, melting in your mouth—sweet but not overwhelming. Simply perfect! Overall, the quality of our experience was a solid 100/10, leaving us satisfied, not stuffed, but just right. Now, the big question: Is it worth the price? Absolutely! If you’re looking for fine cuisine and a unique experience, this place is a must-try. We spent a total of $336 USD for a dinner for two, which is quite reasonable given the quality of what they offer and what we had. We've previously paid between $700 to $900 at other Michelin-starred restaurants and left feeling regretful ( Aroma in Rome / never go there lol ) , but Orfali Bros was a delightful surprise. I only wish we could return, but we visited on our last night before wrapping up our trip. Plus, they surprised us with a sweet note for our honeymoon. We hope life bring us back to Dubai and for sure we will visit again ! Note : make a reservation as mentioned is an intimate environment and is better to be safe .
