It was the worst customer experience we had. There was a lady named Kate who was in charge of the cafe. She seemed all polite at first, and explained that on the entire menu there was only one coffee available so we ordered it but we saw other customers being served different coffees. I'm sure there must be an explanation for it but besides that she kept us waiting almost an hour and would make her team serve all the other customers, even ones who walked in way after us. In fact, she prolonged our dessert for more than an hour and was acting totally normal about it. Finally after the coffee came we realized it was black coffee and asked for hot milk, which in return was served cold. We then lost our hope and asked another waitress for a bill in hope that she manages to finally serve us the dessert but she tells us no to wait while she checks on our dessert, and right then Kate brings the bill and keeps it directly on our table. She has such a bad attitude towards us that she didn't care to apologize for the delay nor make up for it or convince us to stay. She kept serving the same dessert to all the customers that walked in after us, but somehow behaved ignorant to us. To be honest, by far the worst service received from any waitress. The cafe already had no food served there as per Kate which I don't believe anymore since I saw other people being served coffee. Plus she didn't seem to give a damn that we were starving for over an hour. She even promised to give us seats at the glass area which she never cared to follow up. Clearly poor, biased and pathetic service. She kept smirking at us as if it were intentional to cause us inconvenience and while collecting the payment, she blamed the kitchen staff for us not receiving the dessert which was the last lie I could tolerate for the night , and then to go another step further, she had begun to bad mouthed other local customers for their behaviour at the time of payment, etc. Being incharge of the entire cafe, I really don't know what kind of service the cafe is going to give it's customers. Never going back there again. We were really excited to visit there, but highly...
Read moreDearest readers,
It is with a heavy heart (and a most unimpressed palate) that I must report on a most distasteful affair at a certain establishment known as Seven Seeds. One might assume that in a city where hospitality reigns supreme and businesses trip over themselves to court the favour of patrons and influencers alike, this café would have learned a lesson in grace and good sense. Alas — it appears not.
This humble author entered Seven Seeds with the most unassuming of requests: to inquire about hosting a modest gathering of thirty. A convivial brunch, one might say, bringing a touch of charm and no small measure of social capital to their tables. But what greeted me was not warmth, nor courtesy, but the cold, dismissive tone of a gatekeeper far too pleased with their own imagined importance.
Without so much as consulting a manager, this individual declared, “We’re too busy, we don’t have space, and frankly, we don’t entertain such matters.” The very notion that one might suggest a gathering involving influencers — those very lifeblood creatures of modern commerce — was waved off with an indifference so staggering, it would make even the haughtiest dowager blush.
And so, dear readers, one cannot help but question — what is Seven Seeds growing, if not contempt for its clientele? In a city famed for rolling out the red carpet for opportunities of every sort, such brazen audacity borders on the laughable.
I shall not return, unless this establishment makes a grand overture of service recovery — though by the look of things, they seem disinclined to care. In that case, let them be known not for their food, nor their coffee, but for the day they turned away fortune with a flick of arrogance.
Yours in...
Read moreSo I found someone posting about it on insta and thought of giving it a try with my friend. I went in the host asks you to choose any table inside and leaves you. We ordered food that includes a salad, a main, coffee, and watermelon juice. One hour in and none of the waiters showed up with the food. We sent a memo that the food took way too much. One of the waiters shows up and asks which one is our order from her iPad. (Note you scan a QR code on the table to order from the website). Apparently, after waiting for too long the order wasn’t sent to the kitchen ❌ We waited a bit more until we became irritated. We sent a memo we need the manager. The manager shows up telling us 4 min and the order will be ready. That’s an hour and 20 min of placing the order. Here is when I wished I pulled up a Karen and left already. I ordered a slow cooked shredded beef on a benedict. Presentation was nice, portion was wayyy too small for 64AED and the taste was a disaster ❌. Beef very chewy (mind you slow cooked, right?) and the dish has a bitter taste to it. They offered us a free desert as an apology and we ordered the bill. We payed as I made sure that the watermelon juice isn’t listed on the bill as it never came as well 🫠 ❌ I told the waiter that the juice wasn’t even served after tapping my card on the POS and she gently asked if I still want it. I fearfully said no as we don’t want to spend an entire day blocking the table for the watermelon juice to be harvested, slow cooled in a fridge, cut into perfection, then smashed it in a juicer in a cup. If you don’t want to ruin your day, date, or your meal please don’t consider visiting. The place is nice from an interior perspective, you can go in pretending to eat take your fancy...
