Environment is nice especially with the weather being nice now in December. However in terms of service although the staff are very friendly, they brought some mains before appetizers and we waited around 30 minutes from receiving burger sliders and after 30 minutes got the rest of our order which was calamari and pink pasta and only received it after we said we wanted to cancel it since they took so long. The other very surprising thing is we had a toddler with us and we asked for plain penne pasta. They brought us the pasta very fast and with adult portion. But at the bill we found that they charged us 60 aed for the plain pasta, same as our order of pink penne pasta with chicken! We told them it was just plain it shouldn’t be charged the same (we expected to be charged 20-40 aed) since the pink pasta his it’s own mix and ingredients in and they said it’s because it’s a adult portion that they charge 60 aed. We paid it anyway and it is not really about the money but considering we were not happy with the speed of the food and then being charged a large amount for a plain pasta plate makes you feel exploited and just being there to pay money rather than get a pleasant experience and customer service. I’ve always known about Mara Lounge; it’s one of those restaurants that everyone recommends for a reason. But it wasn’t until a good friend and colleague introduced me to their popular breakfast dish, Turkish Labneh with Boiled Egg, that I truly fell in love.

The moment I tried it, I knew I’d found the dish. It’s so delicious and filling that it quickly became my go-to breakfast during the work week. I order it regularly to the office and still look forward to it every single time.

And if I had to choose one dish to eat for the rest of my life, this would be a serious contender!

Beyond breakfast, their lunch menu is equally divine and I usually go for the Grilled Tenderloin Lollipops alongside the Boneless Buffalo Wings. Every dish is made with care, and the flavours never disappoint.
