Read moreI had booked a table in advance to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the two ladies at the reception, but were unexpectedly seated outdoors — in May, at 2 PM, in Dubai’s 40°C heat. As someone wearing an abaya, sitting outside in such conditions is simply unreasonable, and no one asked during the booking process whether I preferred indoor or outdoor seating.
I politely asked the waiter if we could be moved inside, and he said he’d check. After waiting under the heat, I went inside myself, only to be told by the receptionists that indoor seating was fully booked — even though I saw empty tables. A man who I later learned was the “general manager” was also unhelpful. When I explained that I had booked in advance and had not been asked about seating preference, he just said, “I don’t know,” offering no solution.
Surprisingly, a kind gentleman overheard and offered us his table as he was leaving. At that point, the staff — including the general manager — immediately offered me an indoor table. What was shocking is that the table we were given wasn’t even his, proving there was availability all along. It was clear the issue wasn’t about space, but rather willingness.
Eventually, I was approached by the "actual" restaurant manager, who was polite, but by then my experience had already been soured. I truly did not expect this kind of treatment at a restaurant within a 5-star Jumeirah hotel. No matter how good the food is, service and hospitality are everything — and unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider recommending or returning to...
Read moreThe reception was super bad, and it diminished and destroyed all the experience, making it one of the worst experiences in fine dining in Dubai. I would rate it as amateur staff. The guy at reception was rude and do not know how to respect guests rather than showing great hospitality for a newly launched restaurant. The lady who assisted him was also incompetent and does not know about hospitality industry in Dubai. When I asked about the manager she ignored my request. I was promised a table outdoor and then they said nothing is available without any genuine apology After I spoke to another person and requested for the manager, the manager came and apologized and promised us food experience will make us feel better The starters were average, the espresso martini was excellent, the main course was extremely bad, i order tenderloin and it came medium as requested but it was not soft or juicy. On the contrary it was so chewy as if it is plastic And I could not comment it, because the team came to check about food when it was late. They removed Tenderloin from bill, which is least expected because i ate almost half it. Tiramisu was good The restaurant at some point got hot and I was sweating Bad control of temperature Music bad. It would send people to sleep . Anyway, verdict I would not recommend this place to anyone as it was a horrible...
