I have been visiting Jumeirah for my vacations for the past six years, and I always enjoy dining at various restaurants within the resort. However, I have never had such a disappointing experience as I did at Nuska.
Upon arrival, we were promptly shown to our table, which was fine. We were immediately asked if we wanted water, which we ordered, but it never arrived. After 20 minutes, we had to ask again, and at that point, we decided to place our food order as well.
Shockingly, the starters, the children's meals, and the main courses were all served at the same time. When we pointed this out, no solution was offered. The bread also arrived immediately, making it clear that there was no sense of proper course timing. The service was unbelievably poor.
There was no effort to refill our drinks, and the small lamp on our table was broken, yet nothing was done about it. The olive oil bottle was empty, which should have been noticed and replaced. To make things worse, my pants got wet from the chair—probably because someone in a wet swimsuit had been sitting there earlier in the day.
When we asked for the bill, it never came. We eventually had to get up and wait at the cashier before anyone bothered to help us.
The food itself was fine, but the service was absolutely dreadful and nowhere near the level of quality expected from Jumeirah. Nuska was a major disappointment, and I certainly won’t...
Read moreI had high expectations when I booked this restaurant two weeks in advance for a lunch reservation at 4:30 PM. However, my experience was deeply disappointing and completely unacceptable.
Upon arrival, my friend and I, both local women wearing abayas, were seated at a beverages (alcohol) table, which was inappropriate and inconsiderate. When I politely requested a different table, the waiter instantly declined without even checking for availability.
To make matters worse, my friend asked two different waiters for an extra chair, but both completely ignored her request. Eventually, she joined and sat beside me, trying to ignore the poor service.
What followed was even more frustrating. We waited for over an hour until 5:45 pm without anyone coming to take our order. Meanwhile, all the tables around us were being attentively served, and waiters kept passing by in our direction yet deliberately avoided us.
As locals, we couldn’t help but feel that we were ignored because of our appearance, as all the other customers were non locals. This discriminatory and disrespectful behavior was shocking and incredibly disheartening.
A restaurant should provide equal and excellent service to all its customers, but this establishment clearly failed to do so. We felt unwelcomed, disrespected, and completely disregarded IN OUR OWN COUNTRY. I would never recommend this restaurant, nor...
Read moreI had lunch here for the first time, and the experience was a mix of highs and lows. The ambiance was excellent, with a boho-chic, beachy vibe that perfectly complemented the stunning view of the Burj Al Arab. The setting alone made it feel like a great spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
However, the service was quite slow. While it was a Friday and likely a busy time for the restaurant, the delay was excessive. It took a long time for the food to arrive. For the main course, I ordered chicken skewers, which were flavorful and well-prepared. Unfortunately, they were served nearly an hour after the appetizers, which disrupted the flow of the meal.
For dessert, I ordered baklava, which was delicious and perfectly sweetened. But again, it took over an hour to be served, making the overall dining experience feel drawn out.
In summary, while the atmosphere and food quality were good, the long wait times for service significantly detracted from the experience. If you're planning to visit, perhaps go during a less busy time to fully enjoy what the restaurant...
