I love, love, love the food here! 💗 My bf is Singaporean and was actually craving some comfort foods and this place was recommended to us in a google search. It did not disappoint.
Our favourite dish is the ‘Singapore style Mala Xiang Guo’ - the flavours just punch you in the throat (in a good way? 🤣) as it’s definitely spicy that you start to sweat but it tastes so good so you actually can’t stop 🤤 The dish contains shellfish but we had the prawns and squid taken out bc I’m allergic and they replaced it with protein of our choice (we opted for more tofu and chicken slices).
We’ve also tried other dishes but that one stands out the most. Their ‘Black Truffle’ and ‘Cheesy Mushroom Chicken’ siew mai are also really good! (I’ll be sure to add pictures next time)
The prices of their dishes are really well priced for such high quality food which stays consistent. Every. Single. Time. I can’t wait for our next visit to JLT so I can grab myself a few more of their dishes 🥰
It’s unfortunate that it’s 45mins away from where we live, so we usually drive down to grab it. Please open one in...
Read moreI've been to Singapore too many times. To me the food in this restaurant is overpriced, its ridiculously expensive. Almost each meal costs 50 dirham. Even Din Tai Fung (Michelin Star) is cheaper and satisfying. In this place, a HANDFUL of lemon chicken (small cut pieces and deep fried so it was dried) was 50dhs. I had 3 main meals (small portions), 3 drinks total 250dhs and go home hungry. Hoifun style noodles like was tasteless aed50 (corn flour, water, eggs, chicken and kwetiaw). There's no condiments.. soup broth that normally comes with the noodles has to pay extra, the chilli sambal has to pay extra also..
The restaurant was smokey, my clothes and hair smells the smoke. There were flies inside the restaurant, the staff didn't have the flies zappers. She was talking too much and not listening and speak on top of the customer as she'd really certain she can read my mind. Some dishes are similar to Singaporean Hainanese, Soy Chicken Noodles etc... I will go back only for one or two dishes Hainanese and Laksa for take away and that's it. I hope the owner can make the improvements from...
Read moreAs a Malaysian, I was really hoping for some authentic Singaporean flavors at this restaurant .but unfortunately, it was a letdown and a waste of AED 172.
My salted egg chicken was incredibly oily and the chicken was soggy, which is not how this dish should be. It was clearly poorly prepared.
I also ordered a milk tea that was too bitter. When I asked for it to be changed, they just added more milk, which didn't help and made it undrinkable. They refused to let me cancel it even though I couldn't drink it.
More frustrating was the lack of willingness from the staff to take feedback. When I mentioned the issues with the food, their response was unhelpful.
Overall, the food quality was poor and the customer service was disappointing. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant, especially if you're looking for authentic taste and good service. There are definitely better options for Malaysian/Singaporean...
