The Bhukkad Café - Al Seef — Restaurant in Dubai

We visited Bhukkad Cafe in Al Seef yesterday, hoping for a good desi food experience but it turned out to be a big disappointment. 👎🏻

Yes, we expected slightly higher prices because of the location, but at least justify the cost with decent quantity and taste. The portions were shockingly small, and definitely not worth the price. The food was completely bland. We ordered butter chicken, chaat, and paratha. The butter chicken had no flavor, the chaat had no chutney even after we asked twice, and the paratha was clearly just frozen..not fresh or authentic at all.

To be honest, the quantity was so little that I didn’t even bother taking a picture. Usually, whenever we go out to eat, we always take photos of the food but this time, I genuinely couldn’t. I had spent a good amount of money, but there was nothing photo worthy. The portion was so small that any photo would have just made it look worse.

Overpriced, tasteless, and not worth it. Definitely not...

I visited AL Seef branch yesterday and ordered 2 vada pavs, 1 small water bottle, 1 adrak tea, 1 burji pav, and 1 masala Maggi — the total should have been AED 110. I was in a hurry and didn’t collect the bill, just paid and left. Later, I received a bank notification showing I was charged AED 154. It looks like the lady might have added another table’s bill to mine. When I went back to clarify, she refused to acknowledge the extra AED 44 and behaved very rudely. They don’t even keep copies of bills. Her attitude was unacceptable — as if they’re giving the food away for free. This was my last visit there. It’s overpriced, the adrak tea was terrible, and the staff clearly doesn’t know how to speak...

I was honestly quite excited to try this place, but it turned out to be a letdown. The service was super slow — we had to wait quite abit . We got the honey chilli fries first, and they were such a disappointment. They weren’t hot or crispy, and honestly just felt stale and bland. The paneer Maggi was actually pretty good, but that alone didn’t make up for the rest of the experience. Overall, I just didn’t feel it was worth the money, and I kind of wish I had chosen somewhere...
