The Stables is a charming escape from the modern chaos—a nostalgic retreat that feels like stepping straight into a romantic country tavern. Tucked behind Voco Hotel, it’s been my go-to spot and favorite hangout for several years, and it never fails to deliver an experience brimming with character and charm.
The ambiance is rustic perfection, with wooden barrels, the earthy scent of hay, and the warm glow of vintage lighting setting a cozy, laid-back vibe. The subtle hum of a gramophone playing timeless tunes in the background only adds to the magical allure of this place. It’s a setting that takes you back in time, where every detail whispers stories of a bygone era.
What makes The Stables truly unforgettable is the crowd—a mix of lively, friendly patrons who are here to relax, connect, and soak in the good vibes. The live music is the soul of this venue, with numerous talented bands performing throughout the week. The energy on these nights is electric, and the diverse genres ensure there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
The cocktails are crafted with care, the food is hearty and delicious, and the collaboration of art, music, and culture is evident in every corner. Whether you’re here to unwind with a beer from “Granddad’s secret stock” or dance the night away to live tunes, The Stables delivers every single time.
For me, this isn’t just a bar; it’s a haven where time stands still, friendships are forged, and memories are made. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out on one of Dubai’s most enchanting...
Read moreMy recent visit to The Stable Bar in Dubai left me extremely disappointed due to several concerning issues. Despite having lived in Dubai for over 14 years and frequenting many high-standard bars, I have never encountered such poor security behavior and management.
Firstly, the bar recorded me on camera without my permission and went as far as monitoring the number of drinks I had that night. This invasive approach to patrons' privacy is completely unacceptable and goes against the norms of any reputable bar.
To add insult to injury, I was informed of a minimum charge for entrance, implying that I needed to consume more drinks to meet this requirement. This not only felt like an attempt to force customers into spending more money but also posed a serious ethical dilemma, especially for those like me who were refraining from excessive drinking due to driving responsibilities.
Moreover, the bar's lack of crowd management during weekends created an uncomfortably tight and chaotic environment. It was practically impossible to stand or move around peacefully. This lack of consideration for patrons' comfort and safety is a major drawback for any bar.
In light of these issues, I strongly advise against visiting The Stable Bar. Such practices not only tarnish the reputation of the bar but also compromise the well-being and satisfaction of its patrons. My experience was thoroughly disappointing, and I hope that this feedback prompts necessary improvements in their security and management...
Read moreAh, The Stables Dubai—a fitting name for a bar and restaurant delightfully adorned with the charm of equestrian homage. The atmosphere here is, dare I say, most commendable, and it is further elevated every other Thursday by the lively thrill of karaoke night. Now, as devotees of a certain chanteuse whose talents we have followed for a respectable period, we find ourselves drawn to these evenings with particular enthusiasm. Our singer of choice—radiant and engaging—delivers each note with a grace that truly invigorates the crowd.
On Halloween night, we attended with grand expectations. Alas, though her performance was enchanting, it proved to be but a fleeting portion of the evening, quickly followed by a live band. And while the band was serviceable enough, I must confess, the ambiance shifted. The vocalist, whilst adept in voice, seemed less inclined to embrace the time-honored art of audience engagement. Eye contact, dear friends, can be as essential as melody, and I found myself pondering whether it was our particular table that had gone unnoticed or if this was indeed the intended “vibe.”
As for the provisions—ah, the pizza! A worthy companion to the evening’s libations, which were themselves plentiful in variety and well-crafted. Would I venture here again for the cuisine alone? Perhaps. For the karaoke? Most assuredly, though I do hold hope that our songstress may one day be given a more generous allotment of time, especially given her willingness to accept requests—a rare...
