Hello there friends family travellers Barry allan here yet again as you know passionate foodie lover of great service and hospitality and seriously enjoy writing about great places! And brewdog Aberdeen union square most definitely is one! Let's pop in, I'd stopped by brewdog two weeks ago with my friend Dr Michael just for drinks and a bit of chat and it was so nice I decided I'd review their food so on Wednesday evening I made the journey into the city to this great place. Arriving we were warmly welcomed by the fantastic friendly team that consisted of rubin,Matty, Max and Jack such great fun helpful guys who really are an asset to the team and shown to our well laid out table to peruse the extensive menu we were hungry! There's a lot on offer veges are well catered for and all food intolerances are dealt with a lovely menu ! So we looked and decided on the pit burger hand smashed beef pattie with crispy braised pork bacon jam jammy onions and coleslaw oh yeah the Birria beef burger with American cheese jalapenos onion smoky ketchup and chilli beef gravy to dip! Then the famous cluck Norris chicken burger buttermilk chicken, pickles red onion lettuce and finally the buffalo chicken wings oh yeah and we opted for the toffee ice cream sando for dessert we were hungry and waited for our feast! Sitting back the ambience at brewdog is spot on a lovely vibrant airy place very cool decor and as I've said smiling happy staff really made us feel relaxed and at home we chatted waiting on the food! Not long after our food arrived wow what a show first the pit, delicious meaty burger with the loveliest bacon atop the jam was so sweet and the jammy onions just added to the flavour plus the coleslaw delicious! The Birria beef burger again delicious well cooked beef so tasty the cheese excellant the jalapenos and the smoky ketchup a delight and folks the chill beef gravy to dunk was just sublime wonderful! Ok the cluck Norris well fried buttermilk chicken in the nicest brioche bun sweet ranch mayo the onions lettuce pickle make this a winner chicken dinner so tasty it was excellant the wings delicious quite spicy as ordered so tasty the sauce amazing top quality in our view all you can eat on Wednesdays! And finally the dessert folks woah the sando sticky toffee ice cream encased in a delicious chocolate biscuit thing sauce oozing from it with bits of toffee spread over amazing it was that tasty in fact everything we ate was hugely tasty well cooked and looked excellant on the plate an outstandingly great meal! So good people it's 5 stars on everything at brewdog union square Aberdeen they really are providing a first class service the staff are fabulous the vibes are amazing everything is so very good and I suggest if your in the granite city pop by for a meal a drink to remember thankyou brewdog team see you soon barry MCG

I recently visited BrewDog in Union Square for their Unlimited Wings Wednesday, and the experience was disappointing from start to finish. We had booked a table and tried multiple times throughout the day to call the number provided on their website and Google Maps to ask if we could be late, but received no answer. We even sent an email but, again, no response. Upon arrival, we were told to sit wherever we liked. When we tried to order two portions of wings, we were informed that this wasn't possible unless we had booked in advance, which we did. After some confusion, the waiter said it should be fine. We ordered wings with sauces on the side. The food was not great. For almost an hour, nobody checked on us. When we approached the waiter for another round of wings, we were told the kitchen was closed (20:45), despite the website stating it closes at 22:00. Eventually, two small portions arrived, covered in sauce even though we requested for it on the side. The waiter apologized, saying they ran out of wings but could fry some chicken thighs instead. These were pretty much inedible. We asked for a doggy bag, and after waiting another 15 minutes, we had to remind the waiter, who admitted he forgot. The overall experience was surprisingly very poor, compounded by the staff's loud conversations and inappropriate language around guests. I’m giving 1 star solely for the beers, which were excellent as always.

What is this? A feast for ants? At best 'The Feast' (pictured) could be better described as 'The Portion'. Outrageously overpriced, poorly presented, and the chicken strips could most generously be described as "over cooked". Perhaps there is a problem with their deep fat frier? Regardless, I ate it all because I was hungry. Bland but edible and it met the minimum criteria of not giving me food poisoning so it can have a star for that. The amount of times we asked for some water for the table was hilarious. Over the course of 30 minutes our party must have requested it 5 times. Eventually, after it became clear it was never really coming, one of us went over to the bar to sort out ourselves. I'm not sure what we expected from a shopping centre attempt at a pub but whatever expectations we had were wildly optimistic. The beer was nice though.

If you're seeking a vibrant atmosphere with a stellar staff, Brewdog Union Square is the spot for you. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The staff here truly go above and beyond to ensure your experience is nothing short of fantastic. Their knowledge of the brews on offer is impressive, and they're more than happy to guide you through the extensive menu to find the perfect pint for your palate.

However, as much as the service shines, it's hard to overlook the elephant in the room – the prices. While the quality of the drinks is unquestionable, the cost feels a tad steep for what you receive. It's clear that a significant portion of the bill isn't making its way to the staff's wages or enhancing the overall experience.

Despite this, Brewdog Union Square remains a popular choice for many, and rightly so. The ambiance is lively, the selection of brews is vast, and the staff's friendliness elevates the entire visit. If you're willing to splurge a bit for a memorable night out and can look past the pricing, Brewdog Union Square won't disappoint. Just be sure to show your appreciation to the hardworking staff who make every...
