Gio's by La Lombarda — Restaurant in Aberdeen City

I went there for three consecutive days, and the food was absolutely perfect on the first two days; I thought I had found a gem of a cafeteria. However, the food on the last day was a huge disappointment. The soup served was incredibly salty and utterly inedible.Then the owner did replace it with a better one. The situation worsened when the fried steak with pasta was served, which completely ruined my day. The pasta was not cooked at all, and the steak had a strange taste and wasn't fresh. I would give 5 stars for the meals on the first two days, but for the third visit, I can only give 1 star. What angered me the most was that the restaurant wasn't even busy that day, and I don't think my order deserved to be treated like that...

Had a lovely evening at Gio’s, the food was absolutely fantastic (taste, portion size, presentation), and the place was lovely and clean and gorgeously decorated, even the flowers on the table were real which was lovely!

Staff were easy to talk to and the atmosphere was lovely with the background music playing! Overall a very authentic experience!

I haven’t found many Italian restaurants in Aberdeen that I’ve enjoyed much so it’s lovely to have found somewhere now that we can enjoy! It’s fantastic to see an old family run restaurant back in business !

Also thought it was great to see gluten free pasta options available on the menu also! Can’t wait to go back with friends!

Nice place inside, although it was very cold, half of us kept our jackets on for our whole stay. Looked like there was only 1 little radiator in the building and don’t think it was on. Food was ok, there are better authentic Italian places in Aberdeen to go to. Staff were friendly, however one of the waitresses/maybe owner was constantly touching her hair and putting it in and out of her mouth like she was sucking on it! We also witnessed lots of coughing/sneezing and then straight to wait a table with no hand washing. Very casual dress code for the staff too which made it feel like a very casual establishment, even though some of the dishes are upwards of £26. Would recommend or return...
