Wild Ginger Restaurant — Restaurant in Aberdeen City

It is Saturday and was crowded we waited for so long at the stairs queuing. When we ordered the food arrived an hour late. My order lacked the sauce and also my side dish. My problem was with the side dish, they decided to delete it off from the bill. That's fine. But they didn't inform me and tell what if they are giving it to me or not. I was angry because they decided on my behalf that I don't need my side dish anymore. Not sure if it is the problem of the kitchen or the waitress, but I felt bad that the waitress looked at me in angry way. I requested my side dish and didn't give up in demanding it. All this problem would have been solved and I wouldn't felt so angry if they told me anything, they could have told me ( we are not giving you your side dish) or ( we would give it to you when you're about to leave). What an absaloute shambles!!! I've been to Wild Ginger a few times and never had a problem and food and service has always been excellent but last night was completely opposite! I booked a table well in advance for 11 People which due to people not managing to make it became 8. We arrived on time for our table to be met with a huge queue waiting to be seated. When we got asked if we had a booking we were told to go and wait with everyone else which was already busy enough. Not being told how long we were having to wait before getting our table we just sat there as the chaos went on around us! None of the staff looked like they had any idea what was going on and where to seat anyone. Last minute choice for dinner. Not familiar with eating places in Aberdeen but Trip Advisor gave good reviews. We weren't disappointed. Although very busy we were accommodated at a table which had been booked for later. Still gave us plenty time to relax and eat. Waitress- Ritu and Tanim/Waitress- Ritu very efficient and attentive as was every other member of staff. Surroundings modern and clean. My only very small criticism was the background music being a tad loud and I'm deaf. However the majority may not agree. Food was excellent.
