The bar was very obviously have MAJOR understaffing issues during our visit! We visited for lunch on 13/8/22 approx 12.30pm, maybe a touch after. The were a good number of free tables but they still had breakfast dishes on them. We cleared the dishes off ours and sat, realising quite quickly that if we were waiting for the tables to be cleaned first that we’d be disappointed. We ordered through the app; my sister ordering for herself and her daughter a few minutes after I’d ordered for myself, son and daughter. After half an hour we received our drinks. Over 50mins after ordering, my sister and niece’s food arrived. You’d have thought the waitress would have wondered about the fact she was delivering only two meals to a table with five people sitting at it but she bustled away, beginning to clear away some of the breakfast dishes which were still sitting out. Five minutes later and still no food for myself and kids, I managed to catch her attention. I was told quite cheerfully that they were busy with food so we could expect a 40min wait. I explained that we were well past that mark but by this point her attention was on other things. Five mins later, our food arrived. On the positive, it was hot and presentable. The kids enjoyed theirs, I left half of mine. My sister had a bit of a hoohah trying to gain access to a toilet with a baby changing facility too, but I don’t know enough detail about what happened to expand more. Read moreWe recently had dinner at Wetherspoon and ordered our food online beforehand to ensure we would receive it before the kitchen closed. Upon our arrival, a staff member approached us, recognized our order, as we were the last customers. She requested to see our ID, which only one of us had. Consequently, she asked the rest of us to stay outside and pick up the food as takeaway, which we understood and accepted. However, we had also ordered beer, which the staff member stated we could neither take away nor receive a refund for. This seemed unreasonable; if we couldn't receive the beer, a refund should have been offered. The staff member's response was argumentative and somewhat rude, leaving us no choice but to leave the beer behind. When we took our food, the staff member assured us that everything we ordered was included. However, due to her rudeness, my friend was too upset to thoroughly check the order on the spot. Upon arriving home, we got to know that one item was missing. Additionally, the packaging of the wet wipes was substandard, as they were placed in a way that allowed them to soak in the sauce. This kind of packaging is unacceptable and disappointing. This isn't the first time my friends and I have faced issues with Wetherspoon. Read moreI was very disappointed with my meal and the attitude of the staff, I had taken my 14year old grandson in for a meal, I got him pepperoni pizza with a coca cola,I got a vegan pizza with a cider , the young man serving me was not very pleasant and didn't look like he could be bothered. This was on 19 07 25 around 1 pm like I said my grandson pizza was well cooked where my pizza wasn't burnt round the edges and not cooked in the middle,I tried it and new it didn't feel warm it felt raw in the middle,I took it up to bar and let them know, their argument was I had ate almost half the pizza which I could not believe became this was not the case , to women one early twenties one a few years older both with black hair , they asked me what i wanted for them to do , I asked for my money back so they got a security guard over who asked me what was wrong, which I did not think was his business maybe a manager or cook , I just went back to my seat , and then left wt mi grandson,I am very hugely disappointed with this experience yours...
