McDonald's — Restaurant in Ashfield

Before I made this now infamous trip to McDonalds, I decided to take a read at the reviews. I scoffed at them when people were making bold, angry statements such as "my order was wrong" and "had to wait for 20 minutes". "Are you thinking that you are going to a nice restaurant or something?" I naively thought to myself.

Well, I ate my words, and this was the only thing I ate since I don’t eat Maccies, just went to get food to my work colleagues. After making a long 15-minute trip to this McDonalds branch and infecting my car with a deep fry smell for the next 6 months, I placed my order, which included clarifying the quantity of chicken selects - 3 meals in this case. This was an order for 10 people, so we were keen to make sure that the server was getting every detail right to avoid any disappointments. After waiting for 20 minutes, my order was finally delivered to my car window (I’m sorry car, I carried more oil on the backseat than in the engine). When I got back to work and with 10 hungry faces cheering mine and Christie's arrival, wild celebrations soon turned into sour disappointment for 2 of them. 2 of the 3 Chicken Selects meals were completely missing, even when their meal drinks and fries were in the bag.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but I had to find a way to pay tribute to both Becca and Sam’s misfortune – they paid the heavy price (£5) of only having fries and a lousy drink for lunch due to someone not paying enough attention behind the counter. Looking at the reviews here, this happens quite frequently, perhaps management should investigate what goes wrong in the kitchen as there is clearly a faulty, inefficient process. Getting an order wrong is one thing, completely missing on food...

This ashgate hucknall mc Donald’s is a nightmare for delivery drivers collecting their orders. On several occasions I’ve experienced managers turning a blind eye when I’ve tried to get their attention for something that I’ve needed, it is obvious to everyone I was trying to call someone a staff member or a manager as they were literally 6,7 feet away from me I tried shouting a little as the music was on high but they still decide to ignore it is not just me who experiences this it is others too. The waiting time for our orders most of the time is ridiculous even when it looks quiet and not many orders on the screen. There is no proper designated area for delivery drivers to wait for our orders the staff direct us to wait in the corner right next to where customers eat at their tables not giving customers the little bit of privacy that they should have also, when we do go into the corner it is difficult to keep an eye and ear out for when our order is called as it can get busy sometimes and may miss the chance to collect our order when it is ready even if the screen has malfunctioned that makes everything worse. We are supposed to be your delivery partners and we would like the same respect, politeness and professionalism that a lot of us drivers give u the same back to us please. Been burned before and ordering on the off chance it won't be awful? Don't. It will 100% be awful. That's if they even manage to find your house which is not guaranteed. Our last driver claimed to have been here 30 mins before but our no gate was locked, then "the address was wrong on the app" but miraculously he managed to find us in the end so it couldn'thave been that wrong. Maybe it would've been better if he didn't.

I think we've had food delivered 4 times from this branch and each and every time it's been awful. Even when they do remember to include all the items, which happens approx 25% of the time, they are like weird counterfeit items that arrive. Chewy cold fries with no salt stale as hell. Carbonated water instead of drinks. Burgers that are kind of like how they are supposed to be, but worse. Honestly, it's diabolical, probably the worst Mcdonalds in the area.

If you eat in or collect, it's better- below average for what is ostansibly a standardised concept, but at least...
