I must admit that Mrs C's is slighty set back from the main road through Hucknall and I hadn't realized it was a retro cafe, but the sight of the staff stood out side dressed as if they just stepped out a time machine. I had to check there wasn't filming going on but as you step through door you are transported back in time, the smell of amazing food the period furniture all ties in to make Mrs C's at truly nostalgic experience.
A browse of the menu and a slice of cake and cuppa tea was soon on the table and swiftly devoured.
I must admit I was tempted to ask if I could get a discount if I paid with nylons and some of those American cigarettes the yanks bring over while helping our good old boys winning the war.

I have just realised I never left a review. So here it is at last, based on my overall experience not just last week's. I always really enjoy going. The drinks and the food and the cakes are always delicious and well priced. I have particularly enjoyed fish finger sandwiches there and also the scones.
