Will definitely be coming back here āļø
The atmosphere was comfortable, the tables were spacious, and the place was CLEANNN! There are many dishes and set platters to choose from. My mum and I ordered the 2 set Korean BBQ platter, a side of tuna mayo gimbap, chicken gizzard, 2 sets of KFC with the flavours of honey garlic and spicy, and takeaway of the rice with black bean sauce & chicken.
The service was amazing, even though the waiter was very busy, he was always alert and made sure everything you needed was done. He was kind and provided good advice which we appreciated very much, thank youuu!
We loved the Kimchi so much that we got given a complimentary add on! My mum and I canāt stand kimchi, it always messes with our stomach ands taste buds, but this KIMCHI.. guy itās the best Iāve ever tasted!
As for the food we ordered, they were all yum donāt get me wrong but many had no salt, which I didnāt mind as I donāt add salt my food most of the time. We got extra adds and sauces to elevate the flavours of our dishes and in the end it all tasted great! The chicken gizzard was dry sadly but other than that, I canāt complain. The spicy KFC was so delish for me, my mum didnāt like it but to be fair, it wasnāt spicy but my spice tolerance is crazyyyy! I canāt taste spice so I canāt really judge that. Iām so glad we got given gloves as things got messy haha!
Next time we will proceed with having the Hot Pot platter as we cancelled that part of our order after getting fullš! Very glad we came to eat...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt's good to see Korean culture of shared meals coming to Ashford. From the moment we entered, the service was lovely, the staff friendly and accommodating, and the smell glorious. Since it was our first time attending, my family went a little overboard with how much was being ordered, but we were famished so it was of little issue. We had the BBQ (no broth), and a variety of starters and mains. The order of food coming out was a little odd. The BBQ came first, leaving little room on the table for the rest which came out at inconsistent times (starters coming out every 5 minutes, the mains coming out almost 30 minutes after sitting down and starting the other food). Although the food was delicious, it did become a little samey tasting over time (across the main dishes: Dolsot Bibimbap, Jjajangbap, Bokkeumbap, Spicy Shin noodles). The stand outs for me were the Kimchi Pancake and the Sotteok which were beautiful. The BBQ was nice, but without much by way of sides (3 small portions for 4 people) it became a bit plain after a while just having various meat with lettuce. The drinks were a highlight with the soju cocktails just hitting different and being addictively refreshing and moreish. Overall a great experience, but be prepared to wash not only yourself, but all your clothing (including your underwear) as the BBQ permeates everything. Overall a great experience and community dining feel but with family...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNormally, Iām quite skeptical when a restaurant tries to offer everything at once. Sushi, Hot Pot, and BBQ usually means theyāre spreading themselves too thin. I went in with lower expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised.
We chose the Hot Pot, and it was genuinely excellent. The broth was flavorful, the ingredients were fresh. The service was also very attentive . We never had to wait long for anything, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout.
The restaurant itself was very clean, including the tables, cutlery, and overall setup, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
The only small drawback was the noticeable upselling attempts by the staff, which at times felt a bit pushy. It didnāt ruin the evening, but it was something we definitely noticed.
All in all, a great experience and far better than I expected. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the mood for a...
