Albert Street Cafe — Restaurant in Barnsley

Today I went in to this place while it was very very quiet, the staff were all pottering around obviously not very busy.

I had my own 500ml bottle which, because it was a hot day, my children and I had drank it's contents.

I asked the first staff member I saw, politely, if she would fill up the bottle. She took it and filled it with tap water as requested, I thanked her then my children and I drank it all straight away.

I, again, asked if she would mind refilling my bottle with tap water. This time she snatched the bottle from my hand and walked away saying "I don't believe this!", when she passed the bottle back to me she said, in a nasty tone, "that's it now, no more." I replied with "ok, you don't have to be so nasty about it, if it's too much trouble you should have said no." As I was walking away I could hear a few people laughing and then I heard the lady who had "helped" me say loudly "next time she comes in it'll be no". I turned around and said "It's ok, I won't visit again" she replied with "good because...

My brother in law ordered lasagne, chips and salad. It came out and the Lasagne was the size of a pack of cards. I complained because I think paying £8.50 for that is disgusting. The lady who was serving who was lovely took it back and when they brought it back out they had added a few more chips and thats it. I Certainly won't be back...

My mum and brother came today they had a full English breakfast and roast beef dinner … .. the food was Inedible the breakfast was greasy beans ,burnt sausage egg and a piece of uncooked bacon swimming in oil & the roast beef looked like it could be used for shoe leather it was that tough ..they took it back to the counter and...
