Visited this cafe today, on a Sunday morning. Managed to get a table outside in the warm sunshine whilst my parents went inside to order some drinks. They were told to return to the table and the staff would come and take our order from there. After 15 minutes they came to take our order, two coffees and a water. After another 20 minutes we were still without our drinks. I could see through the window a young waitress casually standing by the bar talking, whilst fluffing up her hair with her hands, so my Dad decided to go inside and check up on the situation and they told him they'd forgotten about our order so a few minutes later brought them outside. The drinks were fine, no problems, but not worth a 35 minute wait. As a former cafe/bar worker I can completely understand and sympathise if it were busy and they had a million and one things do to, but it wasn't busy, the waitress was very relaxed and the order was three drinks. The cafe needs to improve their service and their proactiveness in taking orders, clearing tables and resetting them for new customers.

Came to Bath for a birthday trip and fancied a "light lunch and a posh sandwich". Adventure looked busy from the outside so we gave it a go and was not disappointed. I went for the Triple Decker with a portion of Rosemary and Lemon fries (between two) and both were absolutely delicious. A word of caution, however; the portion sizes are MEGA so if you're here for lunch, make this your main meal of the day! My double decker sandwich was so big I had to split each sandwich and eat it in halves. A nice atmosphere and all the staff seemed chilled and friendly. There's seating out front, inside and out the back so there's plenty of seats available. I would thoroughly recommend Adventure.

Updating review after a great experience. New menu with some great choices. Milkshakes as ever are top notch and the service was attentive and friendly. The inside has a cosy atmostphere and tge back garden is dexperively large with loads of nooks and nice spaces. Wheelchair and buggy/pram access to the back is an issue however there are tables and chairs out front for outside eating. 2017 Review - Service is hit and miss. Sometimes you get your food order sometimes not, servers will get lost or forget your order. Always new faces with the staff whenever we go in which is never a good sign. Food is ok.

Visited last night for a private party.....arrived at bar and ignored by bar staff....other people arrived afterwards and were served immediately! When I mentioned this to the bar boy (he voiced loudly to his colleague possibly manager (difficult to determine as he didn't try to retify the problem) that it was his last shift and he was off to uni! I politely suggested that a good bar person knows what customers arrive and are waiting to be served....he like a petulant child stated "don't speak to me like that!" I called him a name (Not proud but he was being very awkward and clearly didn't have a degree in customer service) He then point blank refused to serve me! I left and made my way to the party in the garden where drinks were waiting for us! My husband tgen went to the bar and the bar boy treated my husband as a second rated customer aggressively asking who he was buying drinks for as he wasn't serving me any drinks. My husband who had witnessed the earlier bad customer service had to state back to bar boy whom he was buying drinks for! All in all a shocking way to treat customers! To be honest once I no longer had to endure this negative service I enjoyed myself but I would point out to future customers and management that this shouldn't happen and I'm grateful I will not be returning anytime soon! I wish the bar boy ever success in his future because he is going to need it! Maybe a degree in liasing with the public may...

Went in of an evening after a meal with friends , sat inside as no seating outside , ordered drinks as waitress came over and asked. Ordered 5 drinks as there was 5 of us, 30 mins laters no drinks, , asked where they were and they bought over 4. Waitress was adamant only 4 were ordered which is fine if a mistake was made. As 5 people on the table it would’ve been common sense 5 people ordered a drink, when asked it was immediately approached with attitude saying we only ordered 4 drinks. We were apparently rude and the waitress approached the bar instantly to let management know we were ‘rude’ . When we said our side , the security had already been asked to ask us to leave . He also agreed we hadn’t done anything wrong. Without going into detail , we were effectively told where to go because the waitress side of the story was correct . The staff were resistant to the truth and didn’t want to hear and were not interested. I’m sure they will post their side which resulted with a drink being thrown at the manager but I would higher reconsider before going here. Had we have just got another drink and paid it would have been fine. Human error occurs which is fine but...

A lovely breakfast with my girlfriend was blighted by a very unpleasant and unprofessional exhibition from the Supervisor and of the staff in general. We sat and listened with growing discomfort as an employee Was undergoing what seemed to be a disciplinary interview. What baffled us was that the supervisor and even the owner, felt this was appropriate for Diners to experience. This should have been done back of house or at least before diners have been seated. The manner in which the Supervisor spoke to the young man was oppressive and ill natured. He had been missing shifts and unreliable, but there was no questions of his well being or any help offered, just a draconian and spiteful telling off, loud enough for everyone in the large room to hear. What's worse is after the boy left, his colleagues laughed and snickered somewhat congratulating her, including the two owners who were also seated at a table. Any illusions of a friendly family run business was shattered for me. I personally would encourage that young man to pursue disciplinary and grievance procedures against his employers. I would gladly act as a...
