Yuk. Needed coffee after shopping so went in and stood in line - watched fly walk all over the brownies there were about 10 and fly was up and down, underneath, alongside etc. I was waving to server to tell her. She was serving but eventually acknowledged and removed the ONE Brownie she saw fly on. I said it had been all over all of them and heaven knows what else. There were at least a dozen more piles of cakes and buns. I asked her if she realised fly's don't control their 'elimination' system, they also spit out nasty enzymes as they dont actually eat, added to this their favourite food is poo and they will happily sit in this then fly and sit on something else, depositing bits of poo that have clung to their hairy feet and legs - like brownies and other uncovered food ....... She said there was nothing she could do as counter was open......., not good enough Costa, summer means flies, flies on food not acceptable there are such things as covers (some sliced cakes were covered) cling seal etc. I spoke to very professional and helpful assistant manager who apologised and said he would immediately remove all brownies. I asked about covers and eventually elicited from him that they may only use what is provided ...... In other words there are no covers and they can't use cling seal ......while I was speaking to him we were buzzed by more flies. Sorry Costa that's the two of us lost to you and just another point before I finish, husband uses wheelchair. You have large disabled sign on door - suggesting that if we press the button the door will open. It doesnt. Please don't advertise you are disabled friendly if...
Read moreWen't to M&S coffee shop on the Boucher Road,Belfast but it closed due to staff shortage. We then went across to Costa and there was a lovely lady who served me... very pleasant and even though she started at 7.00am that morning (it was around 5.00 pm when we were in) she had a lovely smile and couldn't do enough for us. The Costa on the Boucher Road is really cosy and compact... great interior design. I suppose the snacks are a little pricey though ... There was a small packet of two Jammy Dodgers biscuits. The cost £ 1.60. We'll still go back. I suppose that they have to charge these prices as I would imagine the yearly rates bill for that small footprint of a shop on the Boucher Road would be...
Read moreJust left here this morning having gone in for my morning dose. Ordered from a red head with a ponytail who seemed to be the manager?? Anyways I sat tapping away in my phone and there as no one else in the shop apart from moi. I hadn't heard the girl say my coffee was ready and when another customer came in I lifted my head and asked if the coffee on the counter was mine. With an attitude she replied that my coffee had been sitting there for me. Well where is "excuse me but your coffee is here".? I was the only customer. Is customer service dead? Don't take a job in customer service if you...
