I would like to leave a formal complaint regarding the behaviour of an elderly lady working at this location on Baucher Crescent. I am a Deliveroo driver and came to collect an order from the shop. As I had run out of drinking water and still had more deliveries to make, I politely asked the cashier for a glass of plain water with a lid, so I could safely take it in my car. The cashier confirmed that this was allowed, so I proceeded to the water and juice machine.
However, another elderly lady approached me in an unfriendly and rude manner, demanding that I return the glass because I had not paid for it. I explained to her that I had already asked the cashier and received permission, but she ignored this and insisted I could not have it. Instead, she handed me a tiny plastic cup, which was not suitable for my needs. When I explained once again that I needed a covered cup for the car, she told me I would have to pay £4.60 for plain water, which I find completely unreasonable.
I am extremely disappointed and frustrated by how disrespectfully I was treated over a simple glass of water. I believe this is unacceptable customer service and does not reflect well on the standards of this establishment. I hope the management will address this matter seriously to prevent similar situations...
Read moreCalled in for late midweek lunch. I have only ever been at the Five Guys near Piccadilly Circus in London, where I remember the fries as being spectacularly good. The fries in Boucher Road were good but not spectacularly memorable. The medium sized portion, though £4.35 I think, was generous - easily enough to share. I also had a cheese dog and a peanut butter milkshake. The hot dog was unremarkable except for it's roughly £6 price tag. The peanut butter milkshake was knockout! At around £4.50 you might say it should be but that's another story. Total bill for lunch was well over £14. You might say West End prices on the Boucher Road. I will go back though to try a burger there, it's what they are famous for after all. I will definitely be having another fabulous milkshake!! Place was sadly deserted when I was there. Spotlessly clean and more than adequately staffed given how quiet it was. I hope it survives the current economic slowdown. Can't help thinking a limited hours lunchtime special would really help business. At these prices however, it will mainly be a special weekend or celebration day treat for most...
Read more5 guys is the best place to go for a burger or hot dog. Its fully customisable and fast service, and top quality and flavour. The fries, mayo and milkshakes are also incredible. There are even roasted peanuts to snack on while you wait for your food.
This is reflected in the price though, as it is pricier than other fast food chains. Worth it if you like a good burger though.
This particular 5 guys was lacking in the service department though. Dont expect chipper, upbeat servers, this is the UK, not america, but aside from the less enthusiastic staff, which I am fine with, my milkshake wasnt ready until after I had finished my meal because the server kept taking orders rather than say please wait a moment while I make this milkshake.
Perhaps she was new, and this is really my only gripe, otherwise 5 guys gets a 5 stars from me.
Parking is fine and its wheelchair accessable, but obviously don't come here if youre vegan/vegetarian unless you love fries. They are fried in peanut oil and the cajun spice option is also delicious. Also the hot dogs are beef...
