Slim Chickens — Restaurant in Belfast

Food was not worth the price its honestly the smallest portions for large amounts of money. Met a server who was wearing a black shirt i believe his name was chris as this was on my receipt. He was absolutely rude to one customer who had a problem with their food and he which i assume was a manager handled it in the most disrespectful way. Rolling his eyes and looking down his nose. An absolutely appalling sight to see and made us feel so uncomfortable as i am so used to being served by troy who is absolutely phenomenal at his job and making the customers feel warm and welcome.

This guy should not be in hospitality if he isn’t happy with the job. He then after ‘dealing’ with the customer went on to serve me with such a condescending attitude. Just really made me and my partner feel like we weren’t wanted. This guy doesn’t seem to understand its the customers that pay his wage. Im also a mystery shopper and I tell you what had i been working that day, the shop unfortunately would not have gained a good rating due to the service of this man.

After serving us we went to grab our cups from the desk and he then went on to tell another staff member about the customer who had an issue with his food and just completely started to make a mockery of the customer to which the other staff member then started laughing.

I mean if you are going to talk about us customers because of your poor service at least don’t do it in front of us. We get it your not happy and your job obviously doesn’t keep you content but show a bit of professionalism please.

Slims is a good brand and yes their food is pricey but I’d have come in 3 times a week for the service of someone like troy and paid the price of the food as he made you feel like you belonged and were going to a friends for dinner.

We went here tonight for our dinner expecting big things because TikTok hyped it up. Firstly we waited 30 minutes to order, there was an employee standing there when she could’ve been taking orders on the other till instead of this one girl taking all the orders. Then we went we knew what we were ordering and they were out of stock on 3 sauces, Mac and cheese and the milkshake machine was out of order. It was so busy inside we said we would takeaway but after 1 minute we seen one table available so we asked if we could change this to dine in as we only put the order through we heard the rude and unprofessional chef shout no and even though the girl said yes he still didn’t do it and they brought it out for takeaway. Then we went to get our drinks there was no caps for them and there was only sprite, Coke Zero and Diet Coke to chose from. Very bad organisation and the employees aren’t friendly at all. We then went to eat our food the good thing about it was the chicken and chips were really nice however the wings were burnt and the gherkins weren’t that nice. Overall would not come back here again and the experience overall was very negative we got there at 7 and they were closing at 8 even though they are meant to close at 10 because they were running out of most of the food. Whoever owns this franchise really needs to have a hard look on the employees that work there. If I could this would be a 0 and not a 1. It was also very expensive for 2 meals it was £27 I could get all this in KfC for about £15...

I gave a 2 star on the atmosphere because we where there at night and there was maybe 7 to 10 people in so it was quite quiet. The service and food however was rubbish. We ordered our food and waited for over an hour to get our food. It wasn’t even busy so I don’t know why the wait was so long. There was two guys in the front cleaning the tables and putting the plates away and such so no complaints to them as they where clearly busy. I decided to go up after my gf said i think they might be closing soon, i went up to the till and there was a girl with black t shirt and blonde hair i think just standing there beside the corner. When she saw me i said we have been waiting a long time on our food and she asked the table i said 12 and she looked around and literally took the plates from under the metal heater and brought them down to our table. Like seriously our food was sitting under there the whole time and she just couldn’t have been bothered to bring it down. What was she waiting for? What type of service is this to have to go up and ask for your food as its sitting there for ages in front of the ‘server’. Just pure laziness. When we got the food it was soggy as it had been sitting there too long. Food was rotten. Wont be back. I expect this type if service when busy but catch yourself on here. Lazy staff and just no quality customer service from the waitress. Just didn’t look like she was...
