Food as usual was decent - service was really bad! We were seated upstairs as a table of six. The table was really wobbly so we asked if we could move to a neighbouring table - which I then had to clear of dishes myself and wait for ages for it to be cleaned! Virtually empty upstairs but lots of tables left with dirty dishes on them the entire length of our stay! No cutlery or napkins at all upstairs - went downstairs to find some and there was no forks there either - informed a passing member of staff about the cutlery situation to be told he was getting his dinner to which I replied I would like to be able to eat mine also! He begrudgingly went and found me 6 forks - no additional forks were left out for any other customers and there was no cutlery restocked upstairs during our stay - when our desert (finally) arrived I had to go hunting downstairs again for more cutlery! 2 of the sauces were not available upstairs either - again had to retrieve these from downstairs. When I ordered desert I brought my receipt to show that 2 kids deserts had been paid for and not to forget them with the adult deserts - I was assured they wouldn't forget. Waited an absolute age for deserts and guess what - they had forgot all about the kids deserts and had to wait ages again for them to arrive. Now if you know kids you'll know they don't do waiting and were quite distressed by this!!! Food itself was good as usual but service was appalling.. All I'd say is avoid sitting upstairs at all costs. I'd give 4 stars for the food and take off 3 stars (4 if I could) for the...
Read moreFrom the outset I was pessimistic and have always been sceptic of any form of spicy food. However throughout my experience at Nando's my scepticism was abolished and in its place grew a new fanaticism for the restaurant inspired by the outstanding decor, the incredible service and the incomparable atmosphere... oh and the fantastic food made perfect for me by their range of spices from plain spice (my selection) to very hot (one I would definitely avoid). The moment we arrived through the door we were greeted by Fabio, an excellent waiter that had us in our seats within 5 minutes and our food within 10 of ordering. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly namely the afore mentioned Fabio and another man whose name was Adam. Two of us got a meal each with 'bottomless' drinks and a 'bottomless' chocolate frozen yogurt for just over £20. However I am reluctant to employ the use of the world 'value' as such a tag carries the negative connotations of 'lacking quality' which this meal and experience certainly was not. I can't emphasise how excellent the service and experience was with special compliments to Fabio and of course the chefs, for an amazing...
Read moreI was expecting a nice fine dining experience, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment.
First, we wanted to sit upstairs, but the hostess refused and insisted we sit downstairs, giving us the worst table possible. That was already a bad start. When I asked for water, I was simply handed a glass and told to fill it myself. I also had to get up to grab my own cutlery, napkins, and sauces.
When the food finally arrived, things only got worse. It wasn’t even hot. The cheese on my dish wasn’t melting at all—it was frozen solid. I honestly felt like I needed to microwave my meal before eating. It was clear that little to no care had been put into preparing the food.
And to top it all off, the service continued to be terrible. I ordered dessert, but after waiting for 15 minutes, I had to remind the waitress to bring it. It was frustrating and completely ruined the experience.
If you’re looking for self-service and cold food, this is the place for you. But if you expect real service and a proper fine dining experience, I’d strongly suggest going...
