Dixy Chicken — Restaurant in Birmingham

This Dixy fails to understand the importance of maintaining standards of service. I have experienced missing food items on several occasions. In person I was told that the waiting time is 15 minutes and infact I waited 45 minutes plus and once over an hour and I was given extra food without even complaining as the staff knew that this was terrible service. I have talked to the owners very politely and my wife calls the owner uncle yet our experiences have been mainly bad and now after giving the benefit of the doubt many times we will never go back to this store. I have ordered over the phone only to find out after calling them again that my order was forgotten therefore receiving my order 1.5 hours to 2 hours and this has happened more than twice. I think they prioritise there Uber Eats and JustEars orders so much they fail miserably in all other aspects. The food was consistent in taste when the store first opened. I liked their food the second time I ate from their but then everything went downhill in taste and the prices increased. Most recently they have increased the prices and the quality has reduced. For example the chicken wings used to be all decent sized niblets now they are mainly bone and chicken coating even though the price has increased. When we asked why in person they said they cant control what comes from the factory which is an obvious lie especially as I saw the niblets right infront of me, I just sighed in utter disappointment. I have never written a review ever for anything but this Dixy store deserved this honest review. There has never been any animosity between myself and the store I am not that type of person. I try to be considerate hence why I've kept going there despite such bad service. Absolutely rude!! After waiting over 2 hours for my food to arrive, it came cold and not even the food we had ordered. I then rung the shop for them to reply with “I’ve been trying to phone you” had looking at my phone there was no missed calls I told them that, with there response to be you put wrong number asked if could check and I hadn’t. Any how I took my food back to shop and asked them to cook me fresh but wondered if they could cook something else, as what they sent I would not of ate. They didn’t have the prep for what I did order, she rolled her eyes after slamming my Pepsi on the counter in which she refused to give me even though I had payed for it. She kept refusing my refund so I therefore asked for the manager for her to tell me there was no manger I then asked if she could ring him and she said she doesn’t have the mangers number! Who don’t have there manger number let be real, that will be the first and last time I ever order from there again. Also telling me it took 2hrs as they only had 1 delivery driver after 2 delivery drivers walked in, I asked how many she had after lying to me and she rolled her eyes. Would be sacked if her invisible manger knew how she was speaking to...

Absolute joke this place is ordered food yesterday at 5pm....waited an hour called them for them to tell us it was on the way, 45 minutes later still hadn’t arrived called back to be told it has just left to be left waiting 2 an half hours and after 4 calls one guy who wasn’t the manager because the manger or supervisor wasn’t there ??? Finally tells us the food has not even left yet and we would be waiting a further 20 minutes And that he wouldn’t be able to comp it because no managers was on shift and no one knew when he was back but he could take £3 off !!!! this is absolutely disgusting your staff needs serious training they have no customer service skills what so ever he actually said “I wouldn’t order from here if It was waiting that long” THATS NOT THE POiNT we paying customers an there are things you just don’t say to them! I will never order from here again you Don’t even deserve to be opening serving the public because you can’t even do that!!! Wish I read reviews before we ordered...
