Really intimidating and not nice place to visit. Food and coffee are fine though.
I walked in and ordered a sandwich and coffee, but asked if I could get the coffee to take out as I wanted to eat my sandwich there and take the drink with me to work. There was some misunderstanding and when I came to pay, they asked me if I wanted to take out, which I confirmed again, assuming they meant the drink as I had asked. Unfortunately, when I collected the food and sat down to eat, I got a torrent of aggressive abuse from the owner about how it is an independent and how I have wasted packaging. Before I could respond, they demanded I just leave immediately. At this point I tried to explain what had happened, to which I got "are you calling my wife a liar?", so i responded "are you calling me a liar then?". After more aggressive abuse I told them I was going to sit there and eat my sandwich, then leave and never return. To which I received the response of "goodbye".

Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Knights Coffee House, and I must say it was a great experience. Upon entering, I was greeted by an incredibly friendly and lovely lady who made me feel welcomed right away. Despite the fact that they were close to closing time, she didn’t turn me away like other places might have done. Instead, she graciously allowed me to sit in and enjoy my food.
The atmosphere of the coffee house was cozy and inviting, creating a comfortable environment to relax and savor my quick bite. The service provided by the lady was exceptional, as she went above and beyond to ensure I had an enjoyable visit.

It seems like a high-risk policy that could turn away potential business, especially from parents like myself. If I had my child with me, I would simply walk up the road and visit Pret instead.
That aside, I genuinely enjoy eating here. The food and coffee are excellent, and I appreciate that this business stands firm against entitled behavior—whether it's people trying to get things for free, eating their own food while taking up seats if potential paying customers, or treating the place like an office with loud speakers. I respect their willingness to speak up and protect their business.
While I don't agree with the 'no prams' policy, I can see past it and still enjoy my meal, knowing that disrespectful, entitled behaviour won't...
