Hadn't been here for a long time but I remembered positive past dining experiences here so I recommended to a friend. We visited yesterday 20/2/22 around 4pm ish. It wasn't too busy and we got a table straight away. Order was taken promptly for drinks starters and mains. Drinks came straight away (coke and original sweet Lassi). We waited ages for food (reminded them twice). This eventually came 40mins later and only our starters came - we were told to start eating these whilst they sorted rest of the food out. The chicken pakoras and chops but both delicious! By now my friend had finished her coke as she was so hungry and my Lassi had turned into horrible lukewarm sweet milk which was disappointing. Our mains turned up a while afterwards, chicken biryani, fries and naan (naan should have arrived earlier with chops). Naan and fries were lovely but biryani was stale, clearly not fresh and had few chicken pieces in it which were either shredded or clearly had been taken off the bone and added in. Taste was okay but it was clearly 'old' biryani. Really very disappointing. We'd asked for water which, after reminding staff again, was eventually given to us after our meal had finished and they'd cleared the table! Foolishly we asked for the hot drinks menu and were told there wasn't one even though we'd seen one earlier. Then were told they only served tea, which as it was a cold windy day, we ordered, to be told it would be at least 45mins long before we got it because the entire staff were now prepping for a party tomorrow morning!!! I challengd this as I couldn't believe what he'd said and asked if it was possible for 1 staff member to possibly switch on the kettle for 1 minute to boil water, as we were here now for our meal and that he should look after the customers already here before worrying about tomorrow's custmers. Also that i couldn't believe how difficult it was for them to serve up 1 cup of tea which was on their menu! Waiter didn't seem to care and just repeated what he'd already said and said he was just being honest. Overall shocking service!!!! Staff not rude but just don't seem to care about orders or value customers. Waiting time for food awful. Starters chops chicken pakoreh tasted good. Old Biryani was very bad. Naan fries lovely and fresh but don't bother asking for water or tea! Had to apologise to my friend for recommending this place. Should have gone to...

Yesterday night we went there,we want to order a food but staff are not ready to take a order they just standing and gupshupp with owner, after calling three time the one staff came and my husband told we called you three time to take a order and you just ignoring us he rudely said what's the matter with you shall we not talk, should we close our mouth then said OK place your order. we mention in our order we need a starter first. He said OK then gone. In the mean while my son was thirsty and we ask for water .the staff ignored and gone after 10 minutes we ask again for a water then the other staff bring it. Now waiting for about more like 25 to 30 minutes we ask the staff we order our food about 40 minutes ago and we mention the starter first can you check how much more time for starter, he clearly rolls his eyes and didn't answer and move to back table like he check something and again rudely said 10 minutes and at that time his another staff bring our mango lassi and at this staff we ask where are the fries (as in starter we order fries and mango lassi) he shoutedly said all the order come in one time we don't have starter and main course service. So I told, you should this mention first and why you shouted he said talk to the owner he was nearly there he came and ask what happen when I started to tell him he shouted on me and said why you shouting why you shouting I told I am not, your staff is misbehaving and shouting on us, he said leave our restaurant we don't want to serve you and said come on come on get up and pay for our ice-cream cup which my children pickup in the start. We said OK we leave and when I give him a £5 for the ice cream cup he snatched from my hand as I am leaving without pay and said don't come back again. This is very pathetic and ill-manner, rude management I have ever seen in my life. This is not a family restaurant and even a single person who are alone and have a respect and want to go there and eat I will never recommend. And in the other hand after leaving we went to #mylahore restaurant they treat their customers like a royal family come their restaurant very good service and delicious...
Read moreMy family and I went to Birmingham to collect a wedding dress for my daughter who is getting married next year. We popped into this restaurant for some lunch. We noticed that it wasn’t the cleanest of restaurants and it smelt awful, but rather than looking for other ‘cleaner’ restaurants and to save time we decided to eat there - as we still had to drive back to Reading. What a mistake - the food was dire! Three of us had chicken rolls, thinking they couldn’t get that ‘wrong’. I was mistaken, the chicken was dyed red, rubbery and dry, with very little taste. The nans were dry and had hardly any butter on them. The salad was dry and roughly cut and looked as if had been sat there for a while. When we asked for sauces, were were given a watery yogurt mixture and the red sauce which was in plastic squeeze bottles which were greasy and looked liked they had never been washed or wiped. The mango lassi was ok, but not very cold. My wife had the vegetarian samosas which were just about edible. We also ordered vegetable and chicken pakoras which were mostly gram flour, fried at too high a temperature and hard, with almost no vegetables or chicken. My daughter asked for some tap water, as the food was so dry, only to be told they ‘don’t have tap water’ and that she would need to order a bottle of water. This was served with no glass, which had to ask for. We also had to wait almost 35 mins to get our food. Appreciated it was Juma, but even then - unacceptable wait time. The waiter was ok, however when I went to pay the cashier, he made no eye contact, no conversation about how we enjoyed the food. Not even a thanks or goodbye. When we got home, three of us had bad tummies, What a waste of time and money! Go to a kebab or chicken restaurant instead. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Buy the way, the bathroom was...
