Just to update this. We continued to go here but service and standards dropped over time. The last time we went, the food got returned and the server had to tell the kitchen guy how to cook chicken. Was a disaster. We never returned.

Back again and tonight we hit 5 stars. Excellent service. The food was quicker than usual tonight and it was piping hot. All cooked fresh. Another star awarded.

EDIT: Ok, so we returned again tonight (03/01/2023) to try the chicken strips and we were not disappointed. Freshly fried and soft and tender with a nice coating that is nothing like Dixy or KFC or whatever. And its so much better because of it. This is quality chicken. This time we got the chicken served plain and a selection of house sauces as dips and this worker out really good. While it doesnt present as well as a dirty sauce drizzle, it meant we got to choose different dips and sauces. Tonight, we ordered Waffle Fries and they were proper excellent. We also ordered a kid's nuggets meal. The nuggets were top quality and the fries were through the roof hot and crispy excellence this time. That was one of my issues last time but the chef nailed the fries tonight and they were crispy right to the end. So it's taken two visits to feel real good about rockaburger. I know someone else who's gonna love the chicken here so we will be back soon for that and another burger sesh.

Rockaburger is well known in the community from the proprietor’s videos on YouTube. To be fair certain regions of the city are now swimming in smashburger joints now so if you want footfall you need to stand out. The establishment was suitably clean and tidy. It is not the cheapest place by a long stretch. Two burger meals and some chicken strips were just shy of £30. So what do we get for that? Is it worth it? The burgers were pretty decent. The Pulled Lamb Burger didn’t really work for my mate. The meat fell out too easily and it would be better served in a warm toasted pitta. The smash burger was fine. The meat was of a good quality and cooked well ans was still lovely and soft at the end of the meal. The chicken strips were huge and covered in sauce. I prefer to dip mine in a sauce or two so i passed on them. They were really big strips and well cooked with lovely white meat. Best strips we have bought as an add on so far. Next time i go i will get a portion of these to review seperately, sans sauce. The chips were a massive letdown though. Overly crisp and quick to cool down. Ruined the meal for me. And buying as a meal deal you get a really small portion. The waffle fries might be a better option. The music too was really annoying. They cranked it up just before serving the food. I was at a 115dB gig last week but i dont want that while i’m eating.

In summary. Its good but you can get that good for less. Better fries will definitely...

I had a terrible actually the worst experience ever here, where do I start. I placed an order on ubereats 25/06/20 at around 1.15am.I usually order from the Alum rock branch however they were closed. My food was delivered late, it was cold but the worst part was the drink i ordered was missing a can of coke. I rang them straight away and was told to come and pick it up at 2.10am, considering i’m in Alum rock I was shocked to say the least I told them this was not possible. Then was asked to come in tomorrow to pick it. I was then told to stay on hold and a store manager would speak to me after being left on hold for 10-15 minutes i finally disconnected the call and rang back, it went through to the answering machine, i was soo frustrated. I couldn’t enjoy my meal without a cold drink. Before leaving a review I wanted to give them a chance to rectify it as mistakes can happen. So I rang back in the afternoon and spoke to someone called Imran , he was being cheeky when i asked for a refund for the drink , he will make sure some one delivers it to me asap today. Nothing came so yesterday I rang again and spoke to a lady called Jay, she said it was awful she was really sorry and that the lads there are like that, she will make sure a meal and drink is delivered to me between 4-5pm to make up for it. I waited for the meal and again nothing. I rang back at 7pm to tell them i’ve not had a delivery and was again told someone will call me back in 2 minutes, Nothing angain. I rang back after 15 minutes and they wouldn’t answer my call i tried for 2 hours. Eventually i rang the Alum rock branch and was advised by the manager there I need to raise this with Adam the manager at ladypool rd branch. I tried for hours and they wouldn’t answer my call. I sent an email explaining everything and I’ve not had a response. I rang today at 1.43pm and Jay answered the phone again, I asked to speak to Adam she said ok 1 minute and cut the phone off. I rang back several times and she wouldn’t answer. This is the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. It’s not about the coke can it’s about the whole experience. I couldn’t enjoy my meal without the drink an was kept on hold, followed by lies and no delivery to being cut off. No response to my email. I think it’s out of order i’m very disappointed, annoyed and angry. I cannot believe people like that are actually holding jobs they have zero professionalism or a conscious and full of lies theh are a complete disgrace to the business. LADYPOOL ROAD BRANCH this is the worst place I have ever been to dine at! The staff were rude! Me and my friends went there on a Friday as it was a last minute decision but because of Friday prayer most shops closes for that hour for prayer so we had to go into that shop as it was still allowing customers to wait in the shop (so we decided to wait 45mins) we ordered our food and after a long wait we finally got our food which was not nice at all! My friend ordered a sizzler steak which wasnt even close to sizzling and it looked like it was days old (when we confront the people working there that it looks old, they didnt even deny it LOL)! It looked dry my other friends lamb sizzler (or something along that line) was not cooked properly and was very dry so she didnt touch her food she returned it back my chicken was STEAMED AND NOT GRILLED CONSIDERING THE FACT THAT I ORDERED A PERI PERI CHICKEN WHICH SHOULD BE GRILLED! When we spoke to one of the staff who served us the food she said she will refund us half of the money a girl comes from the kitchen with her long hair out giving us the refund and I'm shocked! Where is the hygiene?! She should have atleast worn a hair net so hair and dirt from her hair does not fall onto the customers food!! After eating one of my peri peri chicken the other piece had blood on the chicken the girl looking all glamorous lol she said she cannot give us half the refund as I cut I to the damn chicken?! How on earth am I supposed to eat my chicken without cutting into it but before it got into my damn mouth I've seen blood in the chicken so I refused to eat it - anyway I said to them dnt give me the refund use that money to staff your staff! Hopefully they have improved since then but me and my friends will never step into that place again!! I only took photo of my chicken but really annoyed how I didnt take pictures of my friends food, but then again it wasnt worth taking a picture of their food it was that day and not appetising! Disgusting customer service! If they dont care about customer service then your place will never go up on the ladder! I'd say please get rid of the girl with the long hair that clearly cares about her face and looks than the customer or (atleast use a hairnet) as well as the young cheif or waiter as we paid ur damn wages for that day and we was not happy with the level of service we received! I wouldn't even star this a one but theres no other option! We will see what Public Health has got to say about this.
