M.A.K Halal Ladypool Rd — Restaurant in Birmingham

This was a late night meal. Two burgers, grilled wings, 9"pizza. I wouldn't say this is amazing food because it's your standard items but having said that mak halal is not trying to be what it's not, in fact it owns it's niche very well and I'm guessing 9/10 times there consistent too.

The grilled beef burger was actually grilled and not passed through a pizza machine or deep fried like most places, the smokiness from the charring was clearly present. The seasoning could have been better though, but tasted as expected. 8/10

The chicken burger had a good sauce however the lettuce was off and had a weird smell. The chicken it self was not cooked all way through but wasn't raw, confusing but I`d like to think this is uncommon. 6/10

The cheesey pizza had more cheese on it then your avrage pizza place would put on, the taste was there how ever the base was identical to a frozen pizza from Asda and absolutely flat like a frisbee, almost short breadish. Then again Mak halal is not trying to be a artisan neopolitan. 7/10

In my concluson a lot of improvements can be made, this however would lead to a price increase to the consumer. Mak halal is definitely on its way to become the Macdonald's of Birmingham but it would be better if they would limit the menu to focus on brand...

Advised by friends I thought I’d give Machalal a try for the first time today. My first impression once I stepped foot inside was WOW! The atmosphere inside the restaurant was so calming and enhanced by the amazing interior layout, everything just made sense. The options were plentiful, after a tormenting 5 minutes on deciding what to have I had to ask one of the employees for a recommendation. Hassan on the till was very patient and recommended I go with the MegaMac meal. I was sold just by the name of the burger, but didn’t it live it up to expectations. I eat burgers quite regularly but this MegaMac was just something else. Hassan if you’re reading this THANKS you made my day today couldn’t have asked for a better service then what I received, also if his boss reading this give the lad a raise he definitely deserves it ;). Overall I was extremely satisfied with everything Machalal had to offer, 10/10 and if you’re considering whether to try it, GO DO IT you won’t be disappointed! Thanks again guys I will definitely be back myself...

Arguably one of the most satisfying meals for a couple of reasons. First, we started off hungry and reached starvation, because predictably, our driver somehow managed to get us to Mak Halal a month late. We were supposed to get there on 1st March, but he has 50000 nakre and 90000 speeches to go with it. Second, and most importantly, burger was juicy, tasty, wholesome and filling. It was hot too. Pizza here (oriental) is very good.

The chips were slightly disappointed. Probably needed to be cooked a bit more to make them crunchy, or perhaps there may be a need to invest in better quality fries.

Place is warm and decent to eat at. Prefer mayo in the little tubs than packets as once your hands are greasy, trying to open one of those is more difficult than getting a wheelchair user through a standard door width.

Prices are about reasonable. Parking is a bit of a nightmare, but nothing much can be done about that unless we drive through the front door on...
