I nearly shed a tear when I found out that 6/8 kafe had left its Millennium Point location. If I don't see you again, I would like to say thank you. You introduced me to fine tasting Hasbean coffee. You were a shining light in the artisan coffee scene, showing the way to the artisan coffee shops that now decorate our high street. Mulino now occupies the space 6/78 kafe once did at Millennium Point. It is an open bright, clean and stylish cafe. There is lots of eye candy at the lengthy counter. You can buy everything from cakes, savouries, panettones, confectionery and Christmas trees (it was on the counter, I assumed it was for sale:)). The coffee set up looked cool: A small, red San Remo espresso machine and a couple of grinders. The staff member was attentive and enthusiastic, may a bit too much, after spilling some of the coffee:) The flatwhite was made well. It just needed a smidgeon of latte art flair to take it up a notch. The coffee isn't artisan medium roast. It's proper Italian dark roast, which I know a lot of people love. Mulino is there to cater for the students and visitors to the Science Think Tank. I love its accessibility. Do not expect artisan quality coffee. You will have a fine Italian coffee to enjoy in a relaxing, bright atmosphere.

Wonderful experience at Mulino here today. Such a beautiful and calm place, with extremely good staff and presentation of the restaurant. Staff greets you when coming in and when leaving. Restaurant is clean and well kept, staff is always busy making sure to give what the customer deserves while performing their own duties. Food is extremely good with speechless presentation on the table. Prices are affordable and definitely every item on the menu its worth the price. Previously had coffee and pizzas too and its absolutely unique and good. Food is freshly made on the day and you can literally feel the freshness of it. Definitely coming back here. Highly recommended to everyone, for a quick snack or a family lunch/dinner, its worth every penny and minute of it.

Most authentic Italian-style croissant I've had since coming back from Verona. There are plenty of bakeries in Birmingham that do a good croissant, Perch & Medicine Bakery come to mind, but this is the first place I've found to nail a basic Cornetto con Crema (custard filled croissant). Reasonably priced too, for a fresh croissant. Will visit again, for sure!

06/02/25 sadly a very poor experience, after ordering a sausage sandwich before my 9am meeting, being assured by the staff of home made bread, I was truly looking forward, only to receive what I can only describe as one and a half long cut sausages, when I asked why this was the case, the staff informed me that this is how they serve the order.... ??? left me somewhat confused as I wondered what they would do with the remaining half of a sausage? the quality of the sausage was clearly of a very poor cut, tasteless, no seasoning, flavour what so ever and considering the price, it was terrible, I ended up choosing not to eat all of it on the fear or an upset stomach. the ketchup bottle which was in a brand 'Heinz' bottle was clearly not your traditional Heinz quality, either the contents have been topped up with a less quality brand or simply watered down, which is very misleading and may even be questioned if this is even trading fraud? the coffee was ok, nothing special but then again it was from a machine, nothing complicated. sadly will not be stopping for a...
