Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Birmingham

Visited the outlet with a voucher which said " claim free small pizza" on one side & other side "any large pizza for 7.99£". When I approached the store, the sales person (the rudest person I have ever met after I came down to Birmingham!), saw me holding the voucher & he instead of greeting me with a smile, directly said "NO! Come tomorrow". Hearing this rude response I was surprised & asked him "why?". He responded with a very weird question which I am unable to understand even now "What do you mean why?" I mean how do I respond to such a question? I asked again why do u ask me to come tmrw because I'm not there in the area. I wish to have the pizza today. But then he kept saying no rudely (without stating any reason) and walked away. My friend also told sir your very rude. I further asked can you please tell me a reason to why your objecting our request when we hold a valid voucher which we got the previous day! The voucher doesnt have any expiry date/conditions apply written. He kept grinding his teeth and he just moved to the next customer ignoring me. I again reminded him he is rude to which he responded "I've told you for five times, your not understanding" to which I asked the customers who were standing there showing them the voucher and asked what they understood after reading it. They all said its clear! Its written free/reduced price pizza. The sales person further asked "what do you want me to do? What do you want? Give you free pizza?" This was with a sick & rude sarcastic tone. I would've understood if he said "sorry, there is some mistake on the voucher. Let me get you a drink/pizza/snack for the inconvenience". He ddnt say "So sorry, how can I make it up to you" nothing, nothing, absolutely nothing! He kept insulting me in front of others by ignoring me & giving rude replies. When I said I want to meet the manager, he told with a prideful tone "I AM the manager!" I felt I ddnt get any justice! It was such an embarrassment! His colleague also rejected my request & asked to come tomorrow. Papa Johns was my favorite spot for quality pizza. I had gone there for the large pizza & not the free pizza! I was ready to pay.. I dnt know what should be done regarding this. I won't be surprised if there are countless others who has had this experience from this sales person!

Edit 12/10/2023 - the store reached out to me and made it right. It was an honest mistake which is predictable on any busy day. I am very glad that they have done the necessary! Thank you for making sure customer satisfaction is...

Don't have any issue about the hygiene or the normal service, but the customer service and delivery service during Covid is terrible.

I ordered a pizza to be delivered to the reception as I am self isolating and can't come out of my flat for anything, they flat out lied about not being able to go to the reception even after I called the reception and confirmed with them that that wasn't the case and they insisted on going to the Tesco's next door for some reason.

The driver went INSIDE Tesco and waited, if the reason they were so awkward was that they were worried about their driver being exposed to or getting infected with Covid then they wouldn't send them to or into a Tesco's which is guarantied to have more people than a reception located about five ft away next door.

Finally the person I originally called (I imagine the manager) called up demanding to know why I wasn't at the Tesco's even though I had already explained the circumstances, so I had to tell them again that someone from the reception was going to pick it up for me and that they were going to call the driver and sort it out with them. After I said that they immediately hung up.

So if your ordering to anywhere inconvenient or need it delivered to someplace nearby due to Covid restrictions don't get anything from here, it's honestly nowhere...

I ordered pizzas for my son and me last night at 10pm. It wasn't delivered till after 11 and I even had an email saying I could have a free medium pizza next time i ordered as it was taking that long. The man who answered the phone and handled my query was so rude and if it wasn't for my son being hungry I would of cancelled there and then!!! I then had another phone call off the rudest man I've ever spoken to being moody with me because the delivery driver had the wrong number but how could he have the wrong number when he was speaking to me????? Anyway the delivery driver was parked opposite the hotel we were staying at and I didn't know it was him until the so called worker who was on the phone to me saying he was outside. The delivery driver just got the pizzas out his boot handed them to us and didn't speak at all or apologise. The pizzas were obviously freezing cold when he handed them over to us. I gave one star because your not allowed to give zero! Pathetic service and employees who blatantly don't want to work there! And the where your pizza is app...
