My Grill (Digbeth) — Restaurant in Birmingham

I placed an order here for the first time, I forgot to put instructions not to knock the door so I called when I called they said they don’t deliver to my address and they are sorry about the inconvenience and I need to cancel the order I tried to do this it didn’t work they said they would cancel it their end, so I waited the message I then received said it was my choice to cancel the order and the restaurant have done it on my behalf. It is now not allowing me a refund as it says they had already started to prepare my order when this is in fact not true I wish I could rate them no stars as this is completely unacceptable and if u ask me it’s a scam.

The public service was also disgusting, in the end they just told me I should receive a refund in 2-3 days if not call back. To which then I received an email today saying, as the restaurant had already started preparing my food they would still have to change me for all of the food. I didn’t want to cancel the order and if I hadn’t called asking them not to knock the door I would never have been informed and just wouldn’t have received my food. I am infuriated at...

Reading some other reviews it looks like a common trend with these guys. They are always late. I’ve ordered a few times and unfortunately they’ve never managed to make it on time. Today was the worst with the food coming late and cold/warm. Don’t get me wrong their food is really nice and it’s very consistent but also very consistent in being late aswel. I haven’t had any customer service issues so can’t comment too much on that. This place has soo much potential with their quality of food but I’m sure they’re losing customers due to this common problem. Fix up and wish you all the best guys. If the service is bad, then the food better be good. That's the principle I live with.

And indeed, for so long, the food was decent and the service was OK at MyGrill.
