I honestly don't know where to start, we have been going to this restaurant for a very long time as the food has always been really good and tasty but this time we went a very long time and the disappointment was beyond words. We ordered a strawberry mojito to start with, let say the cup size has shrunk,it was tasteless, there was no flavour to it at all just tasted like cup full of ice and nothing more , believe me we have had many mojito from many restaurants and this did not live up the ones we have had here before, I asked the waiter there is something difnetley wrong with the mojito as it has no taste and I explained to the waiter all 3 of us have tasted and we all agreed ,he said should he add more syrup to it,so he took it and brought it back ,take 2... it tasted exactly the same as before...he told the manager then the manager comes along saying we don't make the syrup and that's how it is..😳 I said then your not obviously using a good quality syrup ie like monin because that mojito is tasteless...he was like we just add the syrup and that's it , meaning we can't do any better....and then the next minute he literally just ran off not even to say sorry and we will take it off your bill, there is thinking they were making us another one, well in that case keep your £7 tasteless mojito.Moving on to mains we ordered fish pokora 6pc £9.95, peri fries £3.95 ,butter chicken £13.95 cheese garlic £4.45 garlic nan £2.95 pain nan £2.45.Batter on the fish has definitely changed and it wasn't as good as before, fries were ok, butter chicken no where as good as before chicken pieces were cold and it lacked flavour and that buttery taste, cheese nan in my opinion a bit expensive. On our way out I spotted the cakes so I ordered a cheese cake to take out,no prices on any of them ,I mean a thin slice of cheese cake and when they click £7.95 on the till I nearly had a shock 😳 was thinking maybe 🤔 £6 definitely not worth it, it was nothing special even though apparently this guy said he was the owner was like it's really amazing and its the best cheese cake.To sum my experience the guy who said he was the owner I did mention all this to him and he said theres the manger can you speak to him,I explained I had already spoken to him and to be honest I don't think he was to interested or bothered he had ran off in a flash earlier on if he was bothered he would have addressed my issues or aleast said we will take it on aboard and look into this. The chefs have difnetley changed and it has made a massive effect on the quality of food , which does not reflect upon the high prices charged , definitely not returning, many more restaurants with better food and more...
Read moreI recently had the opportunity to visit MyLahore in Birmingham, and overall, it was a good dining experience. The restaurant boasts its own parking space, which is convenient for patrons. The funky ambiance of the restaurant creates a lively and vibrant atmosphere, with plenty of seating available for guests.
To start my meal, I decided to try the Paneer Tikka. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with this dish as it lacked seasoning and didn't have much flavor. It felt rather bland and failed to leave a lasting impression. However, the Chicken Malai Tikka came to the rescue. The succulent thigh pieces were a show stopper, bursting with delicious flavors that left me wanting more.
Moving on to the appetizers, I tried the Chicken Pakora. I was pleased to find that they were well seasoned, juicy, and tender. They provided a delightful combination of flavors and textures that I thoroughly enjoyed.
For the main course, I opted for the Chicken Parmesan with Peri Peri fries and the Meat Lasagna, also served with Peri Peri fries. I must say, both of these dishes were a wise choice. They were tasty, well seasoned, and left a satisfying aftertaste. However, the Peri Peri fries themselves were a bit underwhelming. While they had a hint of peri peri flavor, they lacked overall seasoning. I ended up having to add some salt to enhance the taste. Nevertheless, the quality of the main courses made up for this minor flaw.
One aspect of my experience that truly stood out was the excellent customer service. The staff at MyLahore Birmingham were attentive, friendly, and provided top-notch service throughout my visit. Their attentiveness added to the overall enjoyment of the meal.
In conclusion, despite the disappointment with the Paneer Tikka and the lackluster Peri Peri fries, my dining experience at MyLahore Birmingham was a positive one. The succulent Chicken Malai Tikka and flavorful Chicken Pakora were definite highlights of the meal. The good customer service and the well-prepared main courses made the visit worthwhile. I would recommend giving this restaurant a try if you're looking for a funky atmosphere and delicious Pakistani cuisine...
Read moreNestled in the heart of Birmingham, My Lahore Restaurant offers an authentic taste of Pakistani cuisine that's sure to tantalize the taste buds of even the most discerning food enthusiasts. Recently, en route to Glasgow, my companions and I stumbled upon this culinary gem during an unexpected stopover at 11:30 PM. Despite arriving just 30 minutes before closing time, the staff graciously welcomed us, displaying a level of hospitality that set the tone for an exceptional dining experience.
Our culinary adventure began with a selection of traditional delights, including soft and pillowy naan bread that served as the perfect accompaniment to our main courses. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the Lamb Karahi, a dish that surpassed all expectations with its rich blend of spices and tender meat. It's safe to say that it ranks among the best Karahi dishes we've had the pleasure of savoring in the UK. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, a testament to the culinary expertise of the chefs at My Lahore.
No Pakistani meal is complete without a refreshing beverage, and the Mango Lassi at My Lahore did not disappoint. While I've often found it challenging to find a Lassi that matches the ones I've enjoyed in India, this rendition was a delightful surprise. Bursting with the fresh taste of mangoes and boasting the ideal level of thickness, it transported me to sun-drenched orchards with each sip.
In summary, My Lahore Restaurant offers more than just a meal; it provides a journey through the vibrant and diverse flavors of Pakistan. From the warm hospitality of the staff to the exquisite culinary creations, every aspect of the dining experience is crafted to perfection.
