Great venue, never been here before so didn't know what to expect. I came to a gig on a Sunday and was really worried about parking and potentially having to walk a little way (fine) in the dark (not fine). I got there and was able to park right outside, for free, what a win! I had the best night, first post-lockdown gig and it was fantastic. The bar downstairs seemed a great size and they serve food. Can't offer feedback on this as I didn't eat here. Where the band were, was upstairs, this was a nice sized area, not too big and there was a separate bar just to the side of the stage. Top night! 👌🏻

Went to see the indy band Eevah at Dead Wax recently. Good sound and lighting given the size of the space. Staff friendly, helpful, and on point. Granted, it was a Monday evening and not much of a crowd, but it had a nice vibe about it nonetheless. I'll be keeping an eye on their roster for sure. Also, it's only a 15-20 min walk from New St and well lit, so it's low stress too. They have a variety of non alcoholic drinks too. I tried 0.0% Guinness and enjoyed it. Check them out and go. The gig ticket was £10.

Came here as i like the alternative looking bars. Place was packed with football supporters when we got here but no one was rowdy or anything. Service was quick for how busy it was do no complaints there. Draught selection was good as it wasnt your normal drinks choice. Small little bar inside with a large outside area with plenty of seating. There is free WiFi here. It's located bit out of the way but is only a 5 minute walk from a few other nice bars as well.

If you want a great pour order the Gamma Ray but it will set you back £6.50. A double Tanqueray and Fever Tree is about a tenner. The red light interior, novelty attractions (yes there is a photo booth) and graffiti on the walls is pretty sweet. Reminds of the Caine and Grain or the Sandinista in Manchester. You pay to be sat inside the establishment I suppose - how else are they affording their rent!? Keep up the good work. The fact it replaced the local pub which had affordable drinks makes me irk... gentrification at its finest. It probably caters for the crowd that appreciates a good craft beer (at a limited selection nonetheless) - but at what cost? Enjoy! It costs to be cool and there probably wouldn't be a pub...

My partner, a friend and I went for a visit on super Saturday. We managed to book a table without any issues. We were apprehensive about being out since the pandemic. All our worries left once we arrived to the venue. They implemented a one was system to visit the toilets and we were served at out table. The orders were made using the website on our phones which minimized unnecessary contact. Hand sanitizers were encouraged once we entered the venue. We saw staff calling the attention of customers not sticking to social distancing rules. Cleaning was taking place throuout our visit. I definitely recommend athis place and will be coming back in the next...

WOW !!! what a fantastic transformation of the Old Wagon and Horses Pub. This isn't just a lick of paint, there has been a great amount of work done here and the attention to detail is outstanding and it shows everywhere you look. At every turn of your head you're in for a visual delight.

Expect amazing decor, diverse selection of beers, great music, live bands, great pizza.

Dead Wax Digbeth is a fantastic additional to the burgeoning landscape of vibrant independent Digbeth venues. The venue is just round the corner from Mama Roux, a 2 min walk up Lower Trinity Street to Adderley Street.

Get down there, what are you...
