We visited yesterday for a bite to eat and warm from the weather, it's a whetherspoons so you know what you're getting food and drink wise, reasonable quality and good prices. The place was packed to heaving with people waiting for tables, mostly families and shoppers, although there being a match on we saw only a few football fans. Despite how busy it was the food was out in fairly good time and we never had to wait long for drinks either at the bar or table service. We only noticed one doorman (who had his badge reversed in its sleeve, I've seen this done before elsewhere when it's been out of date) despite having two entrances. Unlike the majority of whetherspoons I've visited there's no stairs to access the toilets, the "accessible"/ baby changing toilet required a radar key with a notice to ask at bar if you don't have one. Saw bar-staff open up several times, with no-one needing to wait long. Great pub and atmosphere, definitely recommend.

Been going for breakfast at every JD Wetherspoon around the country whenever I have the chance to try a new one, usually breakfast always good and best deal, and usually pretty chilled experiences in the mornings. However, this was my least favourite JD Wetherspoon. It was very challenging to get a coffee, machine not working, asked for help, staff too busy, found another machine in the end of the room, also not working, other customers also frustrated trying to get a coffee, it took so long, that by the time I got back to table that I chose and gave the table number when I did my breakfast order, my table was taken by someone else. It was way too complicated to get a coffee, too much to chase around before having a coffee.

It's impossible to talk about Birmingham's traditional pubs without mentioning the Square Peg, a true Brummie classic where you meet all types of people from all different social levels. We arrived for a quick visit to Birmingham on Saturday morning, hungry, we chose the Square Peg for breakfast, it was completely packed, we ordered via the app and the food arrived quickly and hot at our table. For those who don't know it yet, it's worth immersing yourself in Birmingham's culture by having a drink and enjoying delicious dishes in the purest English style.

Mega pub! It's the only way to describe this place. Huge and very busy, but well managed. Plenty of staff available to attend to bar patrons as well seated customers that wanted food. I ordered a jacket spud (because healthy...) and my beer colleagues had a chicken burger and a pizza. All were ordered using the Wetherspoons app and all meals were brought to us pretty quick (considering how busy it was on a Saturday afternoon). Delicious too. Top marks to Wetherspoons on this venue. Great service all round.👌🏼

The Square Peg in Birmingham is a charming pub with a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. It has a classic pub vibe with a modern twist, featuring comfortable seating and a well-stocked bar. The menu offers a good selection of pub classics like burgers, fish and chips, and hearty pies, The service is friendly and efficient, making it a great spot for a casual meal or drinks with friends. Whether you're stopping by for a quick pint or a full meal, The Square Peg provides a welcoming and enjoyable experience.

Very hit and miss. If you want to come for cheap drinks then go ahead. Service is usually decent however, the food quality is becoming very poor. I ordered a chicken tikka masala. They used to be fairly good and spicy but the one I got earlier was bland; the naan bread was tough- could barely cut through it with a steak knife; the poppadom was SATURATED in oil. I'm sorry but that's unacceptable. Save your money and easy somewhere else. Fine for drinks though.
