We only bought the pepe's peri peri whole chicken. This place used to be good back when it newly opened but that's the problem with desi people. In the start of their business, they are so nice to make customers but later when they have enough people buying, they start cutting corners or become arrogant, careless and rude with customers.
Problems started when once I bought two whole chickens. I asked both to be extra hot but they gave me one chicken which was the extreme hot flavour. We can't eat extreme but had it anyway with lots of water and tears in our eyes. On the next order I complained but they shrugged it off without any apologies.
Next time, my chicken was burnt. Too burnt.
On another occasion, I asked for delivery but they came after 1 and a half hour delay. The driver called my number because he didn't want to climb up the stairs to our flat. They said there was traffic.
Another time my chicken was burnt again.
Being a regular customer, I have noticed that staff have become rude and rude. I have now decided to stop buying from them and going further away to other branches. Kings Heath is much better, new shop and polite staff.
Their prices are also higher compared to other branches in Birmingham?!? Why? And they are dishonest with delivery times, not even at off-peak times. Never believe their lies...

Read moreI am writing to formally report an issue I encountered during my visit to Pepe on [25 /02/2024] at [barista road ]. Unfortunately, my experience was highly unsatisfactory due to poor food hygiene and unprofessional behavior from the staff.
Upon receiving my order, I found a strand of hair in my food, which is completely unacceptable for any dining establishment. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, I was met with dismissive and unhelpful behavior rather than an appropriate resolution. This lack of professionalism and concern for customer satisfaction left me extremely disappointed.
As a paying customer, I expect a clean and hygienic dining experience, along with respectful and attentive service. The presence of hair in my food raises serious concerns about the restaurant’s hygiene practices, and the staff’s poor response only added to the frustration.
I request a full refund for my order and expect immediate corrective action to ensure this does not happen to other customers in the future. Additionally, I urge you to address the staff’s behavior and reinforce hygiene protocols to maintain food safety standards.

Read moreAbsolutely horrendous service ordered food at 5:10 expected to be delivered at around half 6 perfectly fine comes up to half 7 and there’s no sign of it being delivered yet just eat says “delivered” called up the restaurant 78 times and they finally decide to answer explaining how it’s busy, I get that but we havnt received our order when we are literally a 10 minute drive, the so called “manager” then rudely explains how the driver tried calling that’s also a lie because we had no missed calls or anything as we’ve been waiting for the food for hours why would we miss a call. The point being the driver has an address that he needs to deliver too regardless if the customer answers or not even tho he didn’t even ring. We asked to speak to the manager and the man on the phone said he is the manager I honestly don’t know who promoted him to be the manager, clearly has had no training of how to speak to customers, and to completely ruin the evening he hung up on us…… not trying to call up another 78 times just to get through to them for him to be rude and unhelpful.
