Excellent customer service! I’m new to the whole boba tea experience & I found them online, seen good reviews and called them up. With my inexperience, I explained my previous boba tea purchase from a prior establishment & they knew exactly what I wanted & within 30sec, my item was ordered and ready for collection. I was able to order over the phone or order in person. A lot of places don’t allow this in case of failure to turn up. On arrival, I was greeted as soon as I walked in & they knew exactly who I was when I said ‘phone order’ & my item was ready after 5 min. Extremely pleasant, friendly & positive staff. Atmosphere is buzzing, bubbly environment & well lit and decorated store. Smells & looks great w/plenty of seating. On a main high street with parking easy, I parked outside, about 10ft down. This was at 330pm on a Wednesday during 6ks holiday half term in July. I believe there’s a couple off road spots on the right hand corner too. Tesco express and petrol station About 100ft to the left and Tesco express store 200ft to the right. Surrounded by multiple other stores such as Asian/oriental food & grocery shops, western takeaways & restaurants, a launderette, a nail salon, other supermarket & grocery stores, betting shops, coffee places, a barbers, a dentist, a surgery, a pharmacy & pubs. As it’s a studenty area being close to Bham Uni, plenty students walking around as it’s close to official & non official student accom and letting agents. Open till 9pm so you can’t get food or drink till late.

Edit to review from a couple of years ago. Pics are from then. We’ve been here consistently but last visit food noticeably smaller in portion sizes. Firecracker chicken occupied less than a quarter of the bowl with loads of plain rice, probably half and a quarter of salad, mainly cabbage and spring onions. Used to be the same quantity as rice. Firecracker beef even less compared to rice. For the price, we’d go to wok chi in Harborne for better quality. The three stars from this visit are for Jack, our friendly and professional server/waiter. Understand there may be a reward for mentioning names and well deserved as, at each visit, the staff are manically rushed off their feet and still smile! Busy busy tiny restaurant! Went on a weekday night on a last minute thingie and loved it! Gorgeous, beautifully flavoured and presented food. Our fussy eaters in the group were delighted. Its basic, simple seating, small and busy, with lovely friendly staff. Thanks to Sami and Saloney for their non stop smiles and apologies for mixing up our booking. The donburi and bowl pictures do little justice to the excellent flavours. Looking forward to my next visit and highly recommend!

Took my wife here recently as a reward for passing her 2nd year exams, we've been meaning to try it for a while. I went in with comparing it to Wagamama and an amazing Japanese all you can eat buffet in Portugal. The service, food and price were decent. They accommodated in replacing meat with fish only in our mixed fried sushi. We also got the Yasai vegetable gyoza. Both were really nice and complimentary miso soup. This was much lighter and different to Wagamama miso soup. Was quite nice for me, my wife liked it more. For main we got the Seafood ramen and Teriyaki Salmon Don. Both were a good portion and we both swapped half mains as we usually do to try more items together. I would say I prefer the Wagamama seafood ramen more as the ramen here was light miso without soy sauce I believe or just light miso. The normal ramen I've eaten is a darker colour and I prefer it more I think with the dark miso. All in all a good experience and would definitely go back if in the area and if I wanted Japanese cuisine. I would put it slightly under Wagamama but only due to the difference in the miso flavour in the ramen. Other items could be better.
