The atmosphere and decor of this halal steak restaurant is pretty and instagrammable. They’ve attempted to go for glamour, which does work.
From the moment of walking in, the staff were friendly and attentive.
Our waitress Hajera was super helpful, friendly and she did not attempt to oversell. She let us know about allergy requirements (gluten) after checking with the chef, and this helped greatly.
We went on a Tuesday evening, so it was a great time because the restaurant was not too busy to provide us with attention.
The dishes we had were:
T-bone steak - cooked to perfection and melt in the mouth - medium rare Cote de boef - cooked to perfection and melt in the mouth - rare With both steaks, they were cooked as we like them. We could taste the quality of the meat. The meat is simply seasoned with salt and pepper, as steak should be. If you like spicy food and cannot have your meat with a load of spice, this is not for you. Peppercorn sauce - really delicious and simple in flavour. If you like spicy sauces, this is not for you. Bone marrow served on the bone - thus was delicious and cooked well. For some it may be under seasoned, but when I had this combined with what was on the plate, it was perfect and delicious! The marrow just melted on my tongue and was just what I like! Bone marrow butter - really lovely, delicious and creamy. Seasonal vegetables - cooked al dente and tasted buttery, while a refreshing accompaniment to the near. Absolutely stunning! Creamed spinach - detectable and viscous.. probably the best creamed spinach I’ve had! Dauphinois potatoes - they make this stupendously well too! So satiating! Fondant potato - again, melts and cooked extremely well Drink - blueberry and coconut - my friend enjoyed this No dessert - they had run out of the honey cake and no gluten free option
The food was spectacular and it all cost us £62 each. Thus, it’s what one would expect to pay for a quality steak meal.
If your palate needs spice, or alcohol; then do yourself a favour a stay away.
This eaterie provided us with the beatific atmosphere for a girly catch up, on the platform and delicious and beautiful dinner; punctuated by helpful staff whom were not intrusive.
The only negative is that they need to invest in sharp, good quality steak knives. I struggled with their knives, and would have appreciated sharper high end knives; as that would have enhanced my experience.
We were not rushed out because it was nice and quiet due to it being an early weeknight, and it just provided the perfect backdrop to our conversation, as we stayed an hour following bill payment.
The ladies’ bathroom is clean too!! They have a toilet shower, so this is great for those who use this.
My friend and I were so glad that we tried this. The negative reviews do not do this place justice!

Good evening, i booked a table for 7.30pm at ribeye birmingham tonight (14.02.2025). Our first time visiting your restaurent.
We arrived at the restaurent and sat and waited 25 minutes for our table making it 8pm before we actually sat down - no apology or agknowledgment just 'take a seat' from the host. We waited 15minutes for a member of staff to come over to our table and take our drinks order and then personally called a waiter over to order our food once we had decided what we were eating. We ordered a cheesy share and tare garlic bread to start and then I ordered lamb, mash & beef jus and my husband ordered a tbone steak, mac & cheese, truffle fries & a chilli sauce. The food arrived promptly; my meal was cold, to the point i sent the beef jus back and asked for it to be reheated to try and warm my food up as to not cause a scene. My husbands steak was like rubber and his steak was also cold, the truffle fries and mac and cheese were hot. None of the staff came back to ask us if our food was ok, despite me sending my beef jus back to be reheated and my partner leaving almost a full tbone steak on his plate whilst the plates were collected once we had 'finished' eating.
All off the food leaving the hot plate in the kitchen had zero smoke coming from it, the hotplate lights wernt on and there was 2 plates of food sent back to the kitchen whilst we were sat there.
We didnt have chance to order pudding or another drink as the service from staff just wasnt there unless we asked for something. Once the plates were cleared we asked for the bill, the waitress took 20 minutes to bring our bill to the table, we said thankyou and asked for the card machine. She placed the card machine on the table and stated 'put your card in' .. no please or thankyou - after this being the final straw i removed my card and asked the waitress to remove the service charge from my bill which she did with no comments at all.
Considering we spent almost £105 in total after having the service charge removed, i think the food, service and overall night was shocking on behalf of a big company who charges big prices. We dont often spend large amounts of money but as it was valentines day we decided to spoil ourselves. I left feeling very unsatisfied, annoyed and unappreciated. I unfortunately wont be visiting again, neither will i reccomend you to family and friends.
I will also leave an accurate in depth review on google and trip advisor.
I look forward to...
Read moreAs a fan of the Manchester ribeye I was so excited to hear that a sister branch had been opened in Birmingham and coincidentally a 5 minute walk from my place. I booked a table for me and my friend for 6pm . We walked down in anticipation and once we arrived that’s where things went down hill, the hostess directs us to a table of two in between two other tables of both which were situated, we asked politely if we can sit on the end table of 2 as there were 3 free tables of 2, was asked as the tables were quite close and we wanted some privacy. The hostess said she needed to ask her manager and left us standing in the middle of the restaurant for 5 minutes with staff coming up to us asking if we’re okay, it was extremely uncomfortable. The hostess said those 3 tables of 2 were booked for a party of 6 and will be pushed together. We sat down in between two other situated tables. We were so close we could hear their conversations. When you go out to have a nice meal you want privacy not a random stranger on your lap. We ordered drinks and the wrong ones were given, not a great start at all. We ordered our food and before it came, to our shock the same hostess sat a party of 2 in the table we requested, there was no party of 6. We were lied too, lying to customers blatantly in their face is an example of horrendous customer service, we definitely knew there was no table of 6 as two other people were then sat on another table we requested. The saving grace was the food the, steak was cooked to perfection, cut through it like butter, the portion sizes were smaller than the Manchester branch we did notice. The dessert, the chocolate mouse with crème brûlée insert, was absolutely beautiful I really enjoyed the texture and creaminess of the dessert. Another piece of advice is do not have your staff standing in one place in a group of 7 just staring at the customers, it’s very intimidating. Also allocating one person to a table would help as we had 6/7 different staff members approach us. The food was lovely however the customer service let it down, i will not be returning, & I hope improvements are made for your sake.we also had an additional item on the bill that we didn’t receive, again that shows the incompetence of the staff memebers. Also an automatic service charge was the cherry on top, the cheek of charging us for an absolute incompetent experience, all down to poor...
