Very busy, very unorganised, messy place. We waited for over an hrs to be seated despite thatwe made telephone reservation. On arrival we understood that it actually means nothing, you will get a table whenever it's free. We were moved to different tables as more people were coming in - they just wanted to fit as many people they could. It affected their services badly. We had to wait for one and half hrs to get our food served. I wanted to leave but then we thought if it's so busy then food must be really amazing and worth waiting for. Customers next table they got upset with waiting time and decided to leave. While they walked away the restaurant owner run after them with the food platters asking them to come back.
The service is bad, place is overcrowded, not suitable for the amount of customers they let in. Food wasn't that great after all and overpriced. No parking space is an other hassle. Everywhere yello double lines. We ate many times Iranian food in other restaurants and home made my our Iranian friends so can compare. It was our first and last...
Read moreVisited Shiraz on a recommendation, and we were so glad that we did. The restaurant is quite small but has a nice atmosphere. Parking is a little out of the way if you don't get something right outside, but there are enough spots on the side roads.
The food was distinctively Persian and just the right amount to leave you feeling satisfied. This is our gauge for a restaurant's quality, if the food is tasty and you leave with your appetite satiated without a feeling of uncomfortableness, then they've done a good job in catering for you.
The lamb shank and grill platters were on point, always washed down with Doogh (salted yoghurt) and we would definitely recommend the baclava, falooda and the cream pastries. Tea was a fantastic finish, with complementary Iranian rice pudding.
The staff were very friendly, helping us out with any questions and ensuring we fine throughout the meal. We were surprised at the bill at the end of the evening as we thought it would be much more for the level of food we received.
This could very well be a return visit if we are in...
Read moreThe restaurant is quite small and cozy so having large families maybe difficult but a family below 7 will be comfortable. However, where they lack in space they make up for in the food. Their "shiraz special" was very tasteful, the kebabs in particular was something that you must try along with the rice. Its the perfect main course!! But I ordered the lamb shank because I've had it before and can confidently say that I have never eaten a more tender piece of meat like this one. The meat is so tender that you can literally eat your entire meal with a spoon. In fact the meat will slide right off the bone if you were to pick it up. Their fresh cream cake along with their tea is ideal to finished up after a meal. Or if you have a sweet tooth their baklava is good too. The staff are very friendly and there service is on point. I suppose having a small restaurant works to their advantage. Also most of the time they will give a complimentary pudding after your meal which may look like baby pudding but never the...
