Hands down, the food at this Turkish restaurant is absolutely top-notch. If you’re looking for authentic flavors, this is the spot! From the perfectly grilled kebabs to the fresh bread and the sweetest, flakiest baklava, everything was cooked to perfection. You can tell they put a lot of effort into the food, and it shows. The atmosphere was also great – cozy, warm, and perfect for a chill night out or even a special occasion. It really gives you that authentic Turkish vibe, and the presentation of the dishes was on point too. That said, I do think the service could use some improvement. The staff seemed a bit distant and didn’t really go out of their way to make us feel welcome. A simple smile or a bit of friendliness would’ve made a huge difference. It’s not just about good food – customer service is just as important, and a little more warmth from the staff would take this place to the next level. Overall, the food here is brilliant, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing Turkish dining experience in Birmingham. Just hoping the staff add a bit more energy and smiles to match the quality of the food next time!
PS: One suggestion I’d love to make is for them to consider adding coffee to their menu. A rich, aromatic cup of Turkish coffee would be the perfect way to round off such a delightful meal. It would not only enhance the authenticity of the dining experience but also give customers a chance to indulge in a traditional after-meal treat. There’s something so special about sipping on a perfectly brewed Turkish coffee – its bold flavor and smooth texture would pair wonderfully with their delicious desserts like baklava. Adding coffee to their offerings would truly elevate the experience and give diners one more reason...
Read moreLove this place! From the interior, to the service to the food. small but cute Resturant, love the interior inside, quite rustic/modern, music level was perfect not to Loud you could actually have a conversation. We arrived around 7:30 was fairly quiet as it was a weekend, our waitress Lalli seated us and took our order, probably the best customer service I have had, was so polite and attentive, made us feel really comfortable and honestly I didn’t have cash on me but I did want to tip her, such a lovely lady and her customer service was 10000/10. Food was also delicious, ordered starter of Hummus which came with a salad, two small dips and fresh Turkish bread which was lovely hot and crispy. Mains I got the Chicken Shish with Rice and Chips, comes with bulgur but I requested chips instead and they swapped it no issue. We also got the Chicken Beyti which was delicious came with rice and bulgur , the mains were delicious and a solid 9/10, cooked perfect, and we ordered a side Ezme salad, not the best as I make it at home, wasn’t as spicy and was very watery so a 5/10 for that. Overall loved the food and the service would defo recommend and go back if you’re feeling a Turkish I would recommend this place. We got the above, so a starter, two mains, side salad, three drinks and it came to £54 was reasonably priced for Turkish food and the service size was generous as we have a goodie bag to take home. Thankyou lalli for making our visit for us! Also presentation of...
Read moreI have to be conscious of how it comes across. The sheesh if we were to talk about just food. It's amazing, probably some of the best Turkish food in Birmingham. However what puts it down are a few things. The actual restaurant is small, and if you do get a rowdy crowd like I did. You simply cannot hear yourself think. I'm all up for People socialising and talking. But because your all clustered together, it doesn't matter If your shouting or inside voices. It becomes very loud very quickly.
Most Turkish places give bread, so did Sheesh. But there bread wasn't what I was expecting. It wasn't soft, 3 pieces is barely anything? Majority places give you a full basket. And regardless the bread was tough and not very pleasant.
The worst thing, we were sat in front of the door. There's no seating area for People who are waiting, so they're right next to you. And it really does put you off. The constant open and closing off the door brought in a really cold draft. Another lady had to go get her coat from the car.
The problem is the food was exceptional, but you have to be comfortable where you eat. Price was good too. But if your not comfortable, then how could you...
