Can't really complain, nice coffee shop by the Everards Brewery. There is inside seating and additional seating upstairs. There is outdoor seating and it's dog friendly. Service is quite quick, if you are having food that is heated up then they give you a table number and bring it to you. Hot drinks and food are actually hot, which is nice. Typical prices for a coffee shop. We had a mozzarella & tomato panini, a sausage roll, a BLT sandwich, a medium cafe latte and a regular caramel latte frappe. The food and drinks were nice. You can help yourself to sugar, straws, coffee cup carriers, tissues etc. Seating is comfortable and there is some seating for groups of 3+. It's quite child friendly. There's a range of food in the refrigerated area and desserts too. We spent just over £21 for our items, expect most items to be £4 or more. There are toilets downstairs. There is free WiFi. Bank Holiday operating hours are 9-5pm. Parking is free for 3 hours and you can stay...
Read moreI stopped off this morning because McDonald's was too busy. Jenno's was not that busy, so I chose a bacon roll and asked for a double espresso. The coffee was prepared more or less straight away. I stood there waiting for the rest. As I had not been given a number for the food and it was very warm, I asked if I could have one as I was going to sit outside. After three minutes the food was brought out. I opened the roll to see a tiny little piece of bacon, probably about 1/4 to 1/5 of a rasher in the middle. So I drank the (by now cold) coffee with the roll and left. Terrible food. Terrible service. No smiles. No hello. Just the usual greeting from a young person to someone with grey hair 'Are you ok?' , (!). I would like to think that the customer service could be improved. Perhaps start with getting the staff to make eye contact and say hello or good morning, followed by 'May I take...
Read moreA lovely looking and spacious coffee shop right by Fosse Park, which is very convenient. We stopped here before heading to the National Space Centre which was another 30 minutes north.
It was very well decorated and inviting inside. There was lots of 80s style memorabilia posters on the walls upstairs which was cool. I got myself a mocha, and bacon roll, as well as a chai latte, hot chocolate and caramel shortcake for my daughter. The bacon roll was nice, but it was smoked, I would have preferred back bacon. On the pack there is no indication that this is smoked which was slightly disappointing.
The drinks were OK. Initial flavour hit was good, but then becomes quite bland after a couple minutes. My daughter enjoyed her hot chocolate which was loaded with marshmallows, and other bits. All in all it was OK, maybe a bit pricey for what it is. An OK alternative to a Costa...
