As a fairly prolific and almost universally positive reviewer, with tens of thousands of reviews that have been viewed by the public, I felt I had no option but to utterly scathe this place for the absolute shambles it was from start to finish.
Upon arrival, my partner and I waited for a good 20 minutes for a worker to pack food, presumably for a delivery. Not at any stage did he acknowledge our presence (wrapping sandwiches is not the hardest thing to multi-task). He completely ignored us. So, something as simple as "I'm sorry, I'll be with you as quickly as I can" or even a basic hello would have calmed my building anger. Near the end of his duties, my partner asked if there was a problem (so we could move on if there was). He remained silent but it turned out there was in the shape of bread seemingly fresh from the North Pole. He instead said - seemingly annoyed by our dignified and patient silence - that if we'd asked earlier, he would have told us earlier. Utterly bizarre and unacceptable - implying that the lack of communication was our fault despite him being paid to do his job and act acceptably and politely. Communication!
When we finally came to order the food, the fun really started. We ordered three steak and cheese melts at which point the gentleman's less polite cohort appeared from nowhere. She explained that we could have our chosen bread by all means but that it would take 2 hours to defrost. This was bordering so closely to the ridiculous, I had to ask twice. She again confirmed the truth.
In an attempt to salvage the situation, my stomach the prime motivator, I proposed that we could cut other, normal, subway bread to into three inches squares down from it's usual 12/6. This would simply mean us using normal bread instead, which, given the wait and the extremely unusual circumstances I felt acceptable. This was met with instant disapproval, so I asked to speak to the manager. Correct me if I'm wrong, but sure he would quickly see sense: the bigger picture, customer values, the Subway ethos etc. Problem solved.
The manager, who looked less managerial than a knock-off market trader immediately said no, citing cost as the issue. I had no idea there was such a disparity between the cost of toasted, prepared subway bread and the toasties. If the latter are of such poor quality, they should be pulled from the menu. IN assumed that toasties were three inches square, subways were 6, so the cutting and sizing could be done with a marmoset with his teeth.
In all seriousness, I feel that given this experience, nothing more than a gesture of goodwill would be appropriate in the circumstances and await your response on actions that will be taken. I should add that throughout this time a queue built behind us who did not seem happy with the initial 20-minute wait from the man who I shall only refer to as the silent, then intransigent wrapper. The discussion that followed the long wait was mercifully brief for tye queue, who we feel had sen enough, of a wholly ludicrous scenario and three employees zero intelligence or...
Read moreWent in at 8:30pm I was the only person in there, put my order in which was just a normal meal I wanted a milkshake with it but was told they no longer have a milkshake machine so I opted for a coke, then 2 people came in 5 mins after me ordering my food, so really with it being a "fast food" restaurant I should of already been out of there anyway the other 2 customers put there order in and we all waited by this time it was getting onto 15 mins I'd been waiting, then a guy came out and said the cook had put my burger on fresh so that's why was taking so long, after another 5 mins the same guy came out and said it'll be 1-2 mins then the 2 customers that came in 5 mins after me was served there food and off they went. Then the same guy came out and said sorry but the cook forgot to put your burger on the grill so I had to wait another 10 mins all in all I waited just over 30 mins for a meal which should of taken minutes to sort out and I said to the guy I wouldn't like to see it busy here he just smirk and carried on sliding about on the floor because it was wet through and he said he didn't have the correct footwear on which I thought was abit shocking. I will not be returning to this burger king ever again considering I was the only person in there when I ordered and I was still there 30 minutes after is an absolute joke and all they said was there's a few extra chips in the bag because I waited haha. Joke of a...
Read moreAbout 8 days ago I purchased several items from this store, when I got to my location one item was missing. I called the store about a dozen times to no response. Just as I was about to give up my elderly mother noticed something hard in her chicken royale, she placed it to one side as I was trying to call the store. She brought it through to show me and to my disgust was a chicken foot.
I immediately drove to the store calling multiple times again. Finally someone answered. I told him I was on my way to the store with the chicken foot. I got to the store and was greeted politely and another manager was contacted for support.
The assistant took my details and told me someone would be in touch. He offered to replace my missing item which I declined and asked for a refund on the singular missing item. I left with the chicken foot which I thought was odd as normally foreign bodies need to be posted usually for testing or contamination purposes incase it is a batch issue. But I was assured that it would be needed and someone would be in touch.
8 days later and still heard nothing. I was given no contact details, and in all honesty my mother is quite off her food especially chicken since the incident.
I was polite enough to post all over online about it and give them chance to contact me, but I haven’t had a single email, phone call or letter regarding the issue and outcome of that...
