The area and atmosphere are very nice and it's in the central Bolton location, which is very convenient after I've had a swim at Jason Kenny Centre. The staff are slow and not very pleasant. It's like they are being forced to work there. They never smile or look as if they are enjoying their job. It always seems like there's a negative vibe between the staff. Doesn't seem like they get along. I enjoy the food, but some of the drinks are disgusting. I ordered a salted caramel hot milkshake, and it was nothing like the one shown in the pictures. It was gloopy and sickening. The staff are not trained properly. The only hot drink I ever ordered is a flat white, which actually tastes and looks like a flat white. Everything else tastes like a 12 year old has made at home using just Luke warm milk and hardly any taste of coffee. I always prefer the Starbucks coffee and flavours but sometimes when I'm in a rush or because a friend desires to go Costa, then I'll go but as always I'm very disappointed with the service and drinks. Got served by someone called Alex with the worst attitude. I think I’ve ever seen in Customer Service. No please no thank you just abrupt. When I go back to complain, I speak to the manager, Hayley and address the situation regarding Alex to which I am told well. Actually Alex is my daughter. I’m assuming that Hayley has given Alex the go-ahead to basically behave. Anyway she likes because she’s the manager of that store, I have been visiting this particular branch for a couple of years now and I have to say the rest of the staff have been really lovely and polite and I do think you need to definitely retrain your manager. Read moreWe called at the drive through around 12pm ,it was busy so I went in to purchase the coffees.i waited 40 minutes to get two coffees ,I know that the coffees are not easy to do as we have decaffeinated lattes extra hot and wet and one is half of one shot but the lady put too much coffee in the half shot and when I explained it was to much coffee she wasn't very pleased but still made me another ,which I had to ask her to fill it up because it was 2inches off the top when paying alot for a coffee I would expect it to be full.This isn't the first time I have had to complain about this Costa it's about the fourth.
