I recently had the pleasure of dining at this incredible Indian restaurant, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. I’m a South Indian. The authenticity of the food here was truly impressive, capturing the rich flavors and spices of South India perfectly. Unlike most Indian restaurants in Uk which serve typical dishes like rotis and curries like korma, tikka masala etc, this had a variety of rare South Indian dishes , Indian street food and Indo-chinese fusion. It caters to people from different parts of India and anyone who loves Indian food. Plenty of choice for vegetarian and street food lovers.
The service was exceptionally quick, ensuring we didn’t have to wait long to enjoy our meal. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, adding to the overall positive atmosphere of the place.
Now, onto the highlight—the food! Every dish was packed with flavor, but I absolutely enjoyed the seabass tawa fry. I would highly recommend dahi puri & Mysore masala dosa also.Perfectly cooked and seasoned, it was an absolute must-try. The kadak chai and pink Kashmiri chai were a treat after the hearty meal.
If you’re looking for a place that serves delicious, authentic Indian street food & South Indian cuisine with excellent service, I highly recommend this spot. I’ll definitely be coming...
Read moreAte here with my wife after a recommendation from friends who took Indian relatives that said it was the best Indian food they’d eaten in the UK.
The owner was kind enough to spend 5 minutes with us talking us through the menu.
It’s something a bit different than we were used to even as regular consumers of Indian food, but blew our minds in terms of how good it was and the value for money.
We chose the Dahi Puri from the Chaat section of the menu - which was incredibly tasty. Daydreaming about eating again as I write this.
We tried the Indo Chinese fusion dish of Gobi Manchurian which was brilliant too.
The special dosa was great, really interesting dips and flavours.
And we also tried the Chicken Biriyani with roti bread. All washed down by an excellent Mango Lassi and ginger Chai to finish.
Really loved this food and will return regularly I’m sure.
One thing I’d suggest to the owners is to perhaps attempt to make the menu a bit more intuitive for non Indian customers. It’s amazing to hear the owner talk about the breads they make every day on site and the different genres of dishes, but I’m sure when they’re busy it’s not always possible to spend as much time with customers. And I feel there is loads more of this place’s magic that can be conveyed...
