Went to this branch on the 25-6-22 . Started of as we entered early afternoon me and my friend were the first ones in the waitress approached and greeted us at the door told us her name and ask if we had any allergies which we’d never been asked before. She spoke so quickly I couldn’t catch her name. Then we were seated and given menus and left alone for about 10 mins to choose what we’d like. During that time the waitress and another two staff members were stood at the other side of the shop one I think was called Megan who wasn’t in any uniform started having a conversation between themses constantly using the word ‘sit. Which I found very unprofessional. Then our waitress came back over I asked for the chocolate orange brownie which I was then told was discontinued which was disappointing and feel it would have been more appropriate for staff to tell us If certain products on the menu were not available rather than leave us with a menu to choose and then come back 10 mins later and say we don’t do that anymore she then pointed out a couple of other items on the menu which were also not available. I chose to have the chocolate cake and my friend chose the Belgian waffle with Nutella strawberries and ice cream. Whilst waiting the staff then decided to put some music on by this time more customers were arriving the music was loud vulgar rap music with a lot of swearing 🤬. The waitress then brought the desserts over slammed them on the table and walked of. Once we’d started eating a father and his daughter could have been brother and younger sister sat behind us my friend while eating the waffle said how the waffle was rock hard which I tried then myself and realised it was not wanting to make a fuss my friend ate the ice cream and about half the waffle. When the waitress came to serve the customers behind us they asked what is the difference between the Belgian waffle and the American waffle to what she replied ‘the Belgian waffle is like the small ones you get from Asda’ which we found hilarious as for such a professional business with high standards to compare one of their products to the ones you get in Asda. As we paid the bill my friend asked our waitress wether the waffle was frozen or made fresh to which she replied it was made fresh and we told her it was hard like a rock and difficult to eat. To which her reply was ‘Ermm oh sorry about that’ and then walked off. We left the store. Overall I have been to many other heavenly desserts branches across the country and this was definitely the worst experience probably why it was so quiet in there on a Saturday. For the price we paid in there the desserts and staff were awful I’d recommend to the management to train your staff sufficiently with customer service otherwise in the future you will lose a lot of custom and money. Safe to say we won’t be returning and definitely not bringing kids or family with the gangster rap music and...
Read moreTo start, the 2 is purely because of the polite young ladies who served us today. If it wasn't for them, this score would've been a 1.
Unfortunately, today's visit to 'Heavenly' Desserts was an experience far removed from what it's name suggests, it was more like Hells Kitchen. 1 member of waiting staff and 1 member of staff preparing drinks and desserts for an entire restaurant and online orders on a Saturday afternoon.
Now, I don't know what led to staff shortages today, but there is something I do know, the manager should not be disappearing for what was 2 hours by the time we left to deliver online orders. Don't neglect the customers in your shop to fulfil online orders. Worst of all, for the period in which the manager did return, he just waltzed up and down tapping away at his mobile phone whilst the young girls continued to struggle.
Both members of staff worked tirelessly to satisfy a busy period of time today, however, the service they were able to offer was well short of expectations on any normal given day. Waiting an hour after sitting down to have our food order taken was unacceptable.
If you want to remain open unlike many of the shops in Bolton Town Centre, look after those who make the decision to come dine with you. Online orders are not a priority. The two young girls deserve an extra bit of money in their paypacket. They gave us 50% off for the dire situation, which we actually wanted to give to them as a tip, however, we were cautious to what the tipping policy may be here and didn't wish for their hard earned money to be taken from them.
I hope that on our next visit, the manager will pay greater attention to the situation in the shop and we can write a more positive review. Well done...

The treat was a second visit for we grand parents and a first for mum and dad. 3 of us had 'What shes having" - Waffles, chocolate chip icecream, chocolate sauce and fresh strawberries. The little 2 year old had pancakes with chocolate sauce and fresh strawberries while the 4.5 year old opted for an ice cream corner. And we had Chai and Lattes and Juice. Everything was a delight. Lovely surroundings and very relaxed. Heavenly deserts now on our programme when the Octagon reopens and on our other trips to Town. This is a really quality smart venue pioneering the way for other unique retail outlets to move in and rejuvenate Bolton centre with some style, after the loss of the Post Office, the Bookshop and Whittakers store on this Street. Bolton needs retailer establishments like this that are something different and on a par with cosmopolitan cities and tourist attractions that can bring an economy to...
