Today, me and my friend took our sons to Amazonia in Bolton. We played Mini Golf which was fun, then went into the play area afterwards. The kids were playing when we heard my friends son shouting for help. She ran to see what the matter was to find he had fallen through a SAFETY net... it took 2 adults to get him out! I went in myself to check out this net, and found this (pictures attached). I'm shocked! This is a SAFETY NET... Many rips and holes in it and look how many cable ties they've used to repair it previously! (And those cable ties have been cut - they're sharp!)... I approached the staff and told them I have taken these photos and this level of damage is not safe for children to be playing on. I also explained that one of the holes in big enough for a child to completely slip though and hit the ground underneath... I was told "Yes we know it's getting fixed soon..."... I asked for that part of the play area to be closed off and they wouldn't. So they've left it open for more children to get injured. No incident report filed either. The child was left with marks down his legs, but it could of been worse had he slipped through the bigger gap! I am writing this to warn other parents about this as the staff didn't really deal with it except add more cable ties and give the child an ice cream. It's unacceptable. I understand play areas will get damaged, and will have general wear and tear but this is dangerous and they've done...

The younger children had nothing but a slide the older children could not even climb up the ropes as the ropes were hurting their feet, as only socks to be worn. They found it difficult going up hence why they couldn't go down the slide definately was not worth it. There was no train and it was far toooo busyyyyy with sooo many children running here and there, parents dont keep and eye on their kids and neither do the staff. There were children on the soft play with shoes on which went over my childrens fingers multiple times as all they did was run around bumping into eachother with no consideration of younger kids. The staff don't care which children are using which area as there were older children in the younger area. There are rules displayed as u enter which no one really follows and the staff don't care who does and doesn't. They offer food which isn't even worth it the pizza was literally the mini pizza you would find in a supermarket and warm up in the microwave only eatable for 1 child. Will not recommend to others and will not...

Since they lost the train they still haven't really added anything to make up for it. There's a couple of pool tables now and a couple of basketball and claw machines etc but it still feels lacking, especially for the young children. The play area is just quite poor. There really isn't a lot for them to do and what is there isn't that exciting. My kids always get bored there very quickly and tend to get a few more minor injuries. Drinks prices for the kids drinks are reasonable though and the staff are always great. I don't know if they have a lot of staff or a high turn over but it's rare I see the same staff members twice in there. Toilets and facilities are now starting to look worn and tired, seating is average, the couches are nice but they seem to only have 1 left now. Being the only town centre play area it feels like a very poor attempt, I'd love to go there more often due to the convenience but it's often better to travel a bit further and...
