The Taps — Restaurant in Borough of Fylde

We booked a table online for lunch today. Having arrived, a drinks order was taken and swiftly brought to our table. Unfortunately, there is no mention online that a limited food menu is been operated due to Euro 2020. We were prepared to forgo that and the server left us to make our food choice.

We noted that a complementary drink (pint of carling, cask ale or soft drink) was provided with this menu, something we were not informed of when our drinks order was taken. We advised the server that had we known of the deal we would have chosen our drinks accordingly. Having already received our drinks we asked if it would be possible to have our pint of estrella and lager shandy included in the deal or swapped to accomodate the same. Our server returned extremely apologetic and almost embarrassed to tell us her boss had said no.

We therefore left having had our drink and had a lovely lunch one minute down the road at The Courtyard.

I would suggest checking if this deal is being operated before ordering any drinks!

Booked a table online for food at 1730. Only to be advised they stop food at 1730! Poor. ..

I had a response from the owners saying that the website clearly states food ends at 1700. So yesterday I tried booking again for a 'main menu' table and the Greene King portal gives the clear indication that you have a table confirmation. Still poor and not a great response from a reputable brewery/pub chain. I suggest you look at the portal or in any confirmation advise that food is not available in evenings. Sorry, I am giving this pub two stars. We ordered two Beyond burgers but what we received were two supermarkets own brand vegan burgers (£2 for a pack of 8) and no vegan cheese as stated on the menu. If we had been informed when ordering we would have gone to Wetherspoon instead at a fraction of the price (including an alcohol beverage as well). The pub itself is very nice as were the staff.
