My wife visited the Cafe today with my daughter, hoping for a pleasant experience and a moment to relax over a cup of coffee. However, the encounter turned out to be extremely disappointing, leaving me disheartened by the cafe's attitude and customer service.
Upon arriving at the cafe, they were shocked to witness a scenario that I never thought I would encounter. My daughter was enjoying an ice cream she had bought from a nearby place, and when they approached the cafe staff to inquire about seating, they outright refused to allow her to sit. Their reasoning? She was consuming ice cream from another establishment.
I was taken aback by the cafe's lack of empathy and understanding. As a paying customer who was willing to spend money on their offerings, I expected a certain level of hospitality and flexibility. It's common knowledge that cafes are places where people gather to enjoy refreshments and each other's company, often in a relaxed and comfortable environment. Denying a child a seat because she had an ice cream from a different source not only reflects poorly on the cafe's management but also highlights a complete disregard for customer satisfaction.
Moreover, the staff's tone was far from courteous, making the encounter even more unpleasant. Instead of handling the situation delicately and professionally, they seemed uninterested and dismissive. This kind of behavior is detrimental to any establishment's reputation and can drive potential customers away.
It's deeply disheartening to encounter such inflexible and unfriendly customer service at a cafe. I sincerely hope that the management of the Cafe reevaluates their policies and approach to customer service, as such incidents can have a lasting impact on a cafe's reputation and customer loyalty.
I cannot recommend this cafe to anyone seeking a pleasant and welcoming environment. It's essential for cafes to remember that their success depends on how well they treat their customers, and unfortunately, my family's experience their fell far short of those...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSeventh heaven? Hard to believe as the staff seem like they're in hell. From the get go, the older gentleman who works here (presumably the owner) had a very dry and uninviting attitude. Our mere presence seemed unwelcomed.
Two waitresses brought our food out. One of them who had blonde hair was very friendly and asked if we needed anything else, sauces etc. The second waitress who brought the rest of out order out a minute later practically threw the plate down with harldy a word spoken and that was that.
The food was slighly underwhelming for the price but OK. It came out quicly and it was hot and tasty. They managed to get one part right.
The establishment itself is well presented and clean.
Unfortunately in my eyes, customer service plays a huge role in my experience and that seemed to be lacking in this cafƩ. The man who I will assume is the owner seems to have a massive chip on his shoulder, this drags down the general experience...
Read moreHorrible. Just awful. The person at the counter was very snotty, stuck up and patronising. The food was mediocre, if not awful. My pancakes were cold and had barely any sauce, yet too much banana. One of my relatives ordered a Small Breakfast that was mediocre and was just barely warm enough. The portion sizes were tiny for a whopping £30 for some pancakes, sandwich and a small breakfast. I will not be returning here again as it was expensive, unfriendly, uncomfortable, cramped, and the food was not up to scratch for the price. I reccommend you stay away from this place and head to another coffe shop or café down the road. I would honestly rate it 0/5 if i could as the menu choice was small and everything was a standard, overpriced size. If you want a coffe or light snack, head to the costa down the road or the fish and chips...
