Really excellent Thai food that tastes very nice It was a year ago since we held our wedding reception at this restaurant . Then they really made our day complete with laying out the tables and decorating everywhere superbly . The meal was fantastic and cooked to our specification . So we marked the occasion with a few friends last night. It was my birthday too . The meal last night was just as good . The owners deserve to be busy and I’m glad still making a huge success . Thank you from Wanna and Geoff Went Saturday night 1800 with a couple of Friends for my Wife’s big Birthday meal. As usual food superb and as usual the owners very busy but still time to take care Very busy with take aways too Went again Valentine’s Day and a great meal despite restaurant nearly full . Read moreHave been to this restaurant twice before, and in all honesty the food was great, but unfortunately it has become a victim of its own popularity and customer service has gone right out of the window. We went for a table that was booked for 8.00pm and after waiting inside the front door between other diners for 40 minutes we had recieved neither an apology or an explanation, in fact we were totally ignored by the front of house staff. It must have been very off putting for the diners to have 4 people standing between the closely pack tables. But Tan Thais answer to the problem was to ignore us, walk straight past us and at all costs avoid eye contact. The food might be excellent, but the service was so far from acceptable we eventually left and will not...

We were going to go to Monkey & I which was fully booked and the restaurant kindly directed us to Tann Thai, very happy to have been sent there and got the second floor table facing The Stump and the bridge so really amazing view. I had the most amazing chicken wings which you would usually get in Asia. The chicken wings you get in the UK tend to be super deep fried and at Tann Thai it was very well cooked and soft and tasty.
Friendly and efficient service throughout the evening and the staff clearly know how to deal with big crowds.. we saw table of 12-14 people on the ground floor.
The grilled squid was very well done and not too chewy, a great alternative to a typical salt and pepper one.
I would say if you are in the area it is a great place to try high quality authentic Thai food.
we also had the mango sorbet which you can say the mango bits...
