Griller® — Restaurant in Bradford

I went past the Griller shop many times and thought it might be same as the others but I was wrong.

I am very strict on the meat and chicken I eat because it has to be non-stunned. I noticed the yellow sticker on the outside of the shop which said HMC.

I couldn't believe my eyes and atlast there was a halal place in the city centre. When I got home I told my wife and she was extremely happy.

So we decided to go into town on Saturday 1st Sep 2018. It was around 5pm when we entered GRILLER.

I couldn't believe what I saw. Absolutely beautiful and spacious from inside and lovely decor. I wanted to stay longer.

My children wanted to eat chicken so I ordered the Bucket for £7.99. 6 pieces+fries+bottle.

I got served by a gentleman called Jaffari. unbelievable character with exceptional smile, kindness and no 1 customer service. Very helpful and my children and wife felt comfortable. Great seating area by the way!

My son who was on a diet that day(he is 10 by the way) didn't want to eat anything because it being fried.

To my surprise, the gentleman told me it is baked. Now that's a big shock to me because I've not heard of that before and also being a former KFC manager.

So my son and family were happy to eat the chicken + chips. We sat in the right-hand corner which was very relaxing. It was a nice family atmosphere.

I decided to open the box. Wow! or more better Mashallah! The chicken was out if this world. Never seen a chicken look this good. Simply unbelievable and I haven't even tasted it yet.

Decided to take a bite. Simply unbelievable. Never tasted a chicken this good. Totally mouth watering.(coming from a former manager at KFC). And it's not even fried but baked. Just unbelievable. I don't understand the negative review's. Simply out of this world.

You all who love chicken and chips have to come to this place. No joke! To recap:

The service was terrible he doubted my order by kept saying are you sure? Double check! He was rude as I asked how long he shouted “I hate that question”. And he also said “do you have somewhere to go” very rudely. I was very disappointed at this point. The food we received was very cold and the oil was very stinky you could smell it off the food. We could tell that the oil in the food was very old and dirty at the point where I was retching whilst eating. At this point we decided we couldn’t eat here as the place stank so we took them home and microwaved it. The place it self stank of this dirty oil I felt uncomfortable and sick! RECOMMENDED NOT TO GO HERE. The staff glared at us whenever we were eating and talking/laughing we felt crept out. The table we ate on was greasy and dirty. The place really needed air freshener I couldn’t breathe! The staff ignored me when I asked where are the napkins and carried on talking to his staff. Average takeaway, something you would see in the end of a street, the size of this place is good and ideal for families to sit in and eat. They have a small sink to wash your hands, which alot of takeaways lack.

Not too sure about the hygiene of this place. I could not see a hygiene sticker anywhere.

The reason for the 3 stars is simple. The service was quite slow, not ideal for a family with kids. The man service at the counter just constantly kept overtaking his worker in a rude manner. This sort of stuff happens may happen alot in businesses but it should not be viewable to public.

Overall, the food tasted good, the price was reasonable, especially for a takeaway in city centre. It probably is cheaper than alot of other takeaways close by.. Few improvements and I could see this place doing...
