Today 29th Jan went to McDonald's for a takeaway normally go through the drive through but wife wanted something different to what she usually gets, so went in to order my takeaway and used the self service checkout to order and pay by card. Good job I did as Their Big Macs was out so ordered 2 double 1/4 pounder medium meals with fries, and one with cola and a regular Lattie 40p extra, then a Caesar wrap medium with fries and fresh orange coming over £19. i paid by card was given a order number and waited 20 minutes before asking if my order would be soon, I was told it was the next order which still took another 4 to 5 minutes.
Sadly their drive through seems to get priority over their in house orders as mostly use the drive through, very rarely order in house and only did this time because wife wanted something different so had to look on their menu. I order, pay and collect on their drive through within 5 to 10 mins and that is even if the Que is long, so why a 25 minute wait inside they certainly not putting the orders in order on their computer system. I eventually got my order and the bag they put it in was to little for the amount of items I ordered with the top exposing the fries, raining outside would of soaked the food as the top of the bag couldn't close.
As I was going to ask the one who was serving me there was another customer waiting to complain about her order, instead of seeing to me she left me and went to the other customer being very ignorant in my eyes, first deal with the customer your serving before someone who is waiting. However didn't have to wait long before another member of staff came out and I addressed him, said the bag is to small i can't take this order out like this, he apologised and got me a bigger bag and then asked him for some sauces which normally they ask if you like some sauces, when I got food home it was a regular McDonald nothing wrong with food or drinks but a lot wrong with their customer service.
What would i like to see changed, first of all to run out of Big Mac in a McDonald's isn't good but was able to order something else, the wait time was over long but there was another customer who waited as long as me that was served a few minutes before me but he did order before me, he didn't complain or ask where is order was but did say to me its been a long time since he ordered. So certainly in house takeaways coming in line in order of drive through not priority given to drive through, certainly the customer service I received getting my order was disgraceful as their staff need more training, it is ignorant to see to another customer who is waiting while you serving a customer you have not finished with, having to stop another member of staff to get seen to is very poor. With Takeaways you want to get them home ASAP when you receive them before they get to cold. Would love to hear from McDonald's and their explanation of not just a poor service but 5 mistakes...
Read more31/08/2025: suspect spicey nuggets that tasted like they'd been under a heat lamp for hours, i.e. not fresh at all, and now I'm unwell, likely due to them being warm enough to grow bacteria and not hot enough to prevent. Cappuccino was very good. Might have to stop getting food here, and just get the odd coffee.
They were good in my eyes until recently. However, there've been a few instances of bad attitude amongst staff recently, which have been very uncomfortable. One where one fella challenged me because I used their alcohol hand gel after using the touch screen ordering station - he said "they are clean, you know, I just cleaned them!"...I wasn't there when he cleaned them, so I'm going to use alcohol hand gel at my discretion. He didn't need to interrupt/bother me. A few minutes later the same guy lost his mind because the floor he just mopped had a few foot marks on it...He was worried about what the guy the following morning would think - perhaps a reflection of another employee failing to be understanding towards him causing him undue stress at work, which may explain his outbursts. This morning, I was asked to park up to wait for my order, which is, of course, fine. Issue came about when the person knocked on my passenger door (I was the only one in the car) and it's a mad stretch across my car. I beckoned them to come round to my side and the woman started huffing and puffing as if I'd mortally wounded her with the greatest slight known to man, and as if the few extra steps around the bonnet were just the straw that were going to break her back. Essentially, the opposite of service with a smile. To add insult to injury, they put in red sauce, not brown. Why ask if you're not going to listen. Pretty lame attitudes seem to be developing here. Out with the old one with the...
Read moreTo the manager On Friday evening I placed an order through the McDonald's app at approximately 8.50pm for collection at the drive through. When I arrived home I found the order to be totally wrong and I attempted to contact you Branch to resolve the issue on numerous occasions but nobody would answer the phone. I have attached my copy of the order for reference and have been asked by the duty manager to email you the details. Here goes ;- The big tasty ordered was a spicy version ( not as ordered) and consequently I was unable to eat it as I don't do spicy.
All fries served were clap cold and certainly not fresh.
The child's happy meal was even colder and was not even slightly warm
I was told even though the app accepted my order that you had no large cups for the Pepsi max and therefore I could have a frappe instead which it appears, I have been charged extra for. This was particularly strange as the app stated frappe was unavailable.
The sweet chilli crispy chicken wrap which I customised to leave out the cucumber arrived as grilled chicken with cucumber.
I subsequently spoke to Rob ( the duty manager for keighley) who requested I put this in an email who's shocking response was " it's just the way of the world mate". I seriously doubt I'll get a...
