Started off with the poppadoms which to me are a must when going to an Indian. They came out nice and crisp and the dips alongside them really stood out. The mango chutney had that sweet sticky flavour that pairs perfectly with the crunch while the mint sauce was fresh and cooling with just the right amount of tang. A proper good combo to start the meal. For my main I went with the meat Bhuna and I have to say it was spot on. The sauce was thick, rich and packed with flavour, not overly spicy but full of depth. The meat itself was tender and soaked up the sauce really well so every bite had a good kick of that Bhuna flavour. Paired that with keema rice which was lovely. The rice was fluffy and light but every mouthful had those little bursts of spiced mince in it which gave it more bite and made it far more interesting than plain rice. I also got a cheesy naan to go with it. I will be honest, the edges were a bit stale which was a shame but once you got into the middle it was soft, gooey and properly cheesy. When you ripped a piece off and scooped it up with the Bhuna it was an absolute winner. The cheese and sauce worked so well together. The restaurant itself has a really nice decor, clean and welcoming, and the staff were brilliant. They were friendly and kept checking in to make sure everything was alright without being overbearing which really made the experience feel relaxed. Only downside is that I did end up with a bit of an upset stomach after which was unfortunate, but apart from that the food tasted great and the service could not be faulted.

I can't believe all the negative reviews posted for this place. Been coming here for years and (aside from 2020 with the Covid blip, when the food was definitely below par probably down to staff shortages) we've never otherwise had a bad meal. And there has certainly been none of the rudeness mentioned by some of these bullsh*t reviews. Infact the only rudeness we witnessed last night was from CUSTOMERS who wouldn't accept that they couldn't get in because the place was FULL! The food tonight was excellent. Lamb Biryani, Chicken Tikka Masala and the old chestnut Chicken Balti. All simply top drawer and arriving at the table in good time. No 'bland, 'tasteless' food. No 'well over an hour' waiting and no rude staff. Well worth a visit if you fancy a proper curry as opposed to the ready meal curries the pubs round here all serve up. Five stars all round. You negative review posters should stick to soup in a basket at Krackers. Update 2022, as excellent as ever. Food was top notch. Beer was great. Service was attentive and polite. Doggy bagged what we left for later, no problem - 5*

Came here on our last night of our holiday, we’ve been coming to Brean for years but never thought to visit this place. We’re big fans of Indian food and so tonight was the night we finally decided to try it out - and wow! From the very first welcome to the goodbye, everything was very in sync, friendly, professional, fast, welcoming, and an all around 5* experience. The food itself was top tier, absolutely loved it and even asked for a takeaway box so we could finish it later. The service was amazing, could not fault anybody there and you can tell the team works great together (helping each other, communicating to ensure smooth run of service, everyone was happy, great atmosphere). Unfortunately I didn’t get everyone’s names but one of the great servers was Alex! Thank you all for your amazing service, food, and for finishing our holiday on a high note. We will definitely be returning and recommending this place to friends & family :)

Heard great things about this place but can't help but being bitterly disappointed with the food, service and overall experience. Ordered our 2 kids prawn cocktail starter without sauce as they're 2 and 3 and don't like it, we were met with scoffs from the server as though he was insulted. When it arrived the prawns were dirty, soggy and tasteless. The waste pipes were still attached, so we had to remove them ourselves. Mine and my partner starters arrived and the vegetable samosas we ordered were filled with meat. We ate them as we're not vegetarian and was not so big a deal. Due to the issue with the prawns, we both had an uneasy feel about the rest of the meal so decided we would pay for our starters and drinks and be on our way. When we approached a member of staff to inform them of our decision, we were met with rudeness and a disgruntled manager (I assume) who told us that in 40 years in the business he knew what kind of customers we were (the bad ones who want free poppadoms). We were then told to leave immediately as we were holding a table that was needed for other, even though we were in the restaurant early doors and it was not even 1/3 full.

Safe to say that we won't be returning and urge others to be wary of the food and the extremely rude staff there.

One saving grace though was the young waiter who apologized profusely for not only the food but the managers...

Went last night restaurant was empty waited 10 mins then asked of we wanted a drink another 10 mins hubbys beer arrived I was told we have no pinot you can have chardonnay!! After another 5 mins they found a bottle of pinot we eventually ordered our food. I asked for a glass of ice as my wine was warm to be told there is ice under the bottle!!!! I eventually got some ice begrudgingly. Curries arrived mine was so hot it was unbelievable. When the waiter come over he asked if all ok I said No this curry is way to hot. Ok he said n walked away. Another waiter then came and asked if we had finished? Again I said this curry is way to hot I couldn't eat it !!! Ok he said. Normally I would have just left it but I asked if he could bag it up n we would take it. I was then presented with a brown bag a curry container spoon n white bag. I asked what am I supposed to do with this. He replied you put your nan bread in the bag n your curry in the carton I was gobsmacked Not only did they charge us for a curry I had complained about twice that they could see I hadn't eaten I then had to bag it up myself. We paid the bill then threw the curry in the bin. Awful attitude they all need training in customer service. Now we know why it was empty !!!!! Would...
